A post-fight photo usually tells the story of a fight. Sometimes it doesn't but in most cases it does. These 10 post-fight photos are all from matches in 2011 and they feature blood, bruises and grotesque features that aren't supposed to be a feature of the human face.

Fighters featured include Pawel Wolak, Paul Williams, Devon Alexander and Steve Forbes.

There have been many technical decisions this year that occur after a boxer has been head-butted by their opponent and cannot continue due to a cut. They are all featured on here so enjoy!

Erik Morales put up a much better than anticipated battle against hard-punching Marcos Maidana earlier this year.

Early swelling around his right eye occurred very early in the bout, but he made it to the 12th and final bell.

Morales came up short and lost a majority-decision but still gained a lot of momentum from the bout.

Erislandy Lara After Majority Decision Loss to Paul Williams

Erislandy Lara received this nasty knot on the side of his head in his bout with Paul Williams.

It may go down as the most controversial decision of the past few years. Williams won a majority-decision that many thought he lost by seven or eight rounds.

Paul Williams During Fight with Erislandy Lara

Paul Williams isn't a stranger to getting cut. Even at his height of 6'2", he still manages to throw himself into his opponents' power shots and gets beat up bad without avoiding and getting hit more than he should.

He received this cut over his left eye in his win over Lara.

Fernando Montiel ended up on the wrong end of Nonito Donaire's left hook. This is the damage it did when it knocked him out in the second round of their championship bout in February.

Donaire, who is considered to be one of the hardest punchers in the lower weight classes, is one of the top five pound-for-pound boxers in the sport.

Devon Alexander After Technical Decision Loss to Timothy Bradley

The most anticipated fight of the first half of the year turned into a dud as Devon Alexander fought tentatively for nine rounds before being cut in Round 10 and forcing the fight to the scorecards.

His opponent, Timothy Bradley, is involved in many fights that end with headbutts. He leaps in with his head and this is the result.

Jesus Soto Karass After Defeat to Mike Jones in Rematch

The rematch between Mike Jones and Jesus Soto Karass wasn't as good as the first, but it was still one heck of a fight.

Jones didn't go all-out in this fight like the first and what resulted was him doing more damage to his opponent.

Karass got cut from a headbutt in the bout but it was ruled a punch. He would go on to lose a decision.

Paul McCloskey After Technical Decision Loss to Amir Khan

There have been worse cuts, but it doesn't take a bad one to stop a fight.

Paul McCloskey learned that in his fight with Amir Khan, which he lost by technical decision after six rounds.

He also lost his undefeated record.

Pawel Wolak After Draw with Delvin Rodriguez

Pawel Wolak might have the most gruesome post-fight face since Fernando Vargas fought Shane Mosley in 2006.

If not that, it's a close one to Hasim Rahman's hematoma against Evander Holyfield in 2002.

Wolak had a draw with Delvin Rodriguez in the leading candidate for 2011's fight of the year on Friday Night Fights. They might be doing it again on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Victor Ortiz, so get ready for another war.
