Soccer Transfer News: Will Lassana Diarra Leave Real Madrid?

According to a report from the online magazine Goal.com, Lassana Diarra appears to be closer to leaving Real Madrid. The reason was his absence during a training session at the Real Madrid training grounds.

Diarra has been excluded from the Real Madrid USA Tour but was required to attend the training. I have written in a previous article about the possibilities of Real Madrid releasing Diarra and Benzema.

I have the feeling that Diarra did not attend the training secondary to the hurt he felt by not going to with Real Madrid to the USA. While Diarra's feelings (this is a personal opinion) may be understandable, he should have gone to the training.

Diarra could by his presence have showed Mourinho what he is worth in the football (soccer) world. Royston Drenthe and Pedro Leon were present at the training even though they are also in Mourinho's list of players to be replaced.

Diarra may have concluded that his fate with Real Madrid may be sealed with or without assisting at the training. The number of clubs that want Diarra are limitless such as the Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Juventus.

I have the feeling that Diarra may end up in the Premier League but Real Madrid has not made or received any offers. While Real Madrid has not made any official comments, it should decide whether Diarra remains or leaves the Santiago Bernabeu.
