Team Pacquiao: Who Is Timothy James and What Is His Role in MP8.ph Website?
Moments after boxing promoter and former Governor Manny Pinol broke the news about the dismissal of Manny Pacquiao's adviser and manager of MP Boxing Michael Koncz, a series of hate articles have spread like wildfires in Internet sports sites putting blames on innocent people who may have caused Koncz' fallout.
One of the victims of the hate articles is MP8.ph website co-owner Timothy James, who swears he was just telling the truth in his subsequent articles in reference to the "Braveheart" news item.
In a recent post by a popular columnist who appears to be closely linked with Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum and Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz, he exposed James as an ex-convict and steroid user.
He also tagged James as the most dangerous person in Pacquiao's extended circle.
It seems obvious the writer is trying to discredit James as the person behind the official Pacquiao website. Otherwise, he won't attack the MP8.ph website co-owner for being an ex-convict.
What does a guy who has paid his dues by serving his term in jail have anything to do with the sacking of Koncz?
The writer could have preserved his credibility by sticking to the issues at hand and not resort to personal attacks on a person who was once a victim of the evils in our society and of circumstances beyond his control.
But who is Timothy James and why is he being crucified for what he claims to be the true picture behind the sacking of Koncz?
It's not difficult to find out who Timothy James is and how he got into trouble almost 15 years ago during his tour of duty as a Sheriff Deputy in California. His criminal record is a public knowledge and anyone can access it over the Internet.
But to those who do not have the time to browse the net, James got involved in a robbery back in 1997, pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery, one count of felony possession of steroids and a misdemeanor charge of possessing a hypodermic syringe.
Before his involvement in robbery and drugs, James was a health buff and an aspiring bodybuilder and in the process he dealt with steroids to enhance his performance. Very powerful mind-altering drugs drove him like crazy
In 1996, James was engaged to a wonderful gal, but because of the steroid use and the temper behind them, she finally packed up and left.
Being 26 years old and single, he started taking to the clubs and drinking—steroids mixed with alcohol made the already damaging drug worse in his body and mind. One night, he did the unthinkable and used a gun and robbed a jewelry store.
Obviously, the guy was not his real self when he committed the crime being under the influence of powerful enhancing drugs.
Still he committed a crime and had to suffer the consequences of his actions.
To be continued...
