WWE Money in the Bank Results: What We Learned from Kelly Kelly's Win

Oops! She did it again, baby!

Kelly Kelly, the blonde sensation, has successfully retained her Divas championship against Brie Bella this past week-end.

The match itself wasn't very long, but I enjoyed it all the way to the finish.

I am a huge fan of the Divas division, and while it is in a precarious shape right now, I can't help but expect things to change for the better in the next few months.

What does it mean for the the ladies of WWE to have K2 as their champion? Is this war with the Bellas over?

Who else is going to challenge for the championship soon?

I cannot pretend to know the future, but one thing I've learned is, the girls really love what they do and try to show us every time they enter the ring.

Last Sunday's match should also have opened our eyes to certain things... 

Kelly Kelly Is Overwhelmingly Beloved by the People

Kelly Kelly was the chosen person to challenge Brie Bella for the belt that night. 

She was by far the one with the most votes, ahead of Eve and my personal choice, Beth Phoenix.

Not only is she the most beloved Diva on the roster, she is the one that gets the most "pop" from the crowd. K2 gets such a reaction that it is fitting for her to be champion in this "entertainment" era of WWE.

She holds the title because the people want to see HER!

There are some others that garner attention to a high level (Maryse, Beth Phoenix and Melina to be more specific), but nothing compared to the Divas Champion.

I know she is not the best "wrestler," but she can learn...It's not like she has an ugly face, right? No magic can change that but ring skills can be taught.

She is only 24 after all.

The Bellas' Time May Have Come and Gone

If you watched the title match at MITB, you'll notice that the Bellas are sloppy in the ring and draw little heat from the crowd.

I never understood the point of having the championship placed on Brie's shoulder in the first place. The girl and her sister have been portrayed as the celebrity hosts' "escorts" for so long and then, POOF! We have a failed attempt to create Lay-Cool?

No thanks.

The worst they can think of to bash Kelly Kelly is saying she doesn't eat. I wish I could have believed in them more, but when you have other "heels" like Melina and Maryse who have better in-ring AND speaking skills, it is hard to do so.

The Twin Magic has runs its course I believe. They ONLY reason I don't want to see them released right now is so Kharma can make good on her promise to destroy them upon her return.

The big "L" is written all over their forehead.

Triple H as Chairman: The Change We Waited For?

We've been asking for it for so long. A new era in WWE may have begun last night on RAW, as Vince McMahon was deposed.

Triple H running things could be the best thing to happen in a long time. I am certain he has heard the voice of the WWE Universe when we talk about the Divas and their division. That's why I wouldn't turn away from my TV set and see what will happen to them.

I hate having to watch the women "wrestle" filler matches that last under five minutes. What happened to the great action we had just two years ago?

The Game could fix all that and give us something meaningful and respectable. All we demand is quality, right? There is nothing wrong with women in WWE; they are as much a part of the game as anyone.

A lot of work needs to be done in order for the fans to believe in them again, but I am a patient man, and if anybody can make things happen, it's Triple H.

A New Challenge on the Horizon

At the end, you see Kelly Kelly holding up the title way high right in front of her "sisters," and I don't see a smile on her face.

Is she showing it off as a way to say "I'm the head lioness?" For some reason, I got a vibe there showing she wasn't too thrilled Beth Phoenix picked up the win so fast.

"The Glamazon" has been putting on some great matches on Superstars, and some of you have been claiming she is to turn "heel" soon and challenge Kelly for the title.

That would be music to my ears. She is my personal favorite Diva, and we were all hoping for that cosmic confrontation between her and Kharma down the road weren't we?

It may have been put on hold for now, but if changes are in order, then having the most dominant female on the roster gunning for the "golden child" and her championship seems like the way to go.

She's probably have to go through some other "faces" first like Eve and Gail Kim. The latter had a stellar match with Beth Phoenix a few weeks ago. I wouldn't mind a repeat.

I just can't imagine Torres or Kim as a bad girl right now anyway.

Kelly Kelly Is Here to Stay

No matter who the next challenger is or what people think of her and her abilities right now, Kelly Kelly is to remain champion for a while longer.

There is no denying she draws so much attention, and the fact she was part of Maxim's Hot 100 Women means that others have been paying attention.

I could have sworn months ago that the reason Kharma didn't "eat" her was because the behemoth wanted to wrest the title away from K2.

Some even call her the female version of John Cena! I don't know how far I can see that, but it's not false either because she is so "over" with the fans.

What she needs now is a real, high-profile feud to help establish her reign as a credible one. Forget about Melina; the girl was totally buried last week. What a shock that was to me, a waste really.

Kelly Kelly is the living incarnation of all the little girls' dreams: A princess, a fairy, a barbie doll.

I can't help but feel like she must be a total sweetheart.

The Divas Champion generates a magical aura and we are all under her spell.

A Great Career Ahead of Her

At 24, she has already done so much, and it feels like it's only just begun.

What lies ahead for our Divas Champion? I wonder how great she will be by the time she turns 30, and may I say, women of that age and beyond are the finest specimen the planet has to offer.

They ooze out that confidence and maturity. With her resume already impressive, all I can say is, the sky is the limit for this one.

I will watch her career with great interest.

She has the potential to become far greater than the awesome Trish Stratus.
