After WWE Money in the Bank, we have to start looking ahead to WWE Summerslam. As we saw on WWE Raw this week, the WWE has chosen to ignore the fact that CM Punk won the WWE Championship.
So this will depend on who wins the WWE title next week on Raw.
There is a lot of speculation that The Rock will be making an appearance as well, so keep that in mind.
OK, so here's 10 matches we need to have at Summerslam following an amazing event in Money in the Bank.
Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio were spectacular in the Raw Money in the Bank match. The two high flyers knew what they were doing in there and did some things that made you pay attention.
Evan Bourne's shooting star press off of the ladder onto a sea of superstars was one of the highlights of the night for me.
I would actually like to see either a rematch between Evan Bourne and Sin Cara or between Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio, but because of Sin Cara's suspension and his "injury," that's not going to happen.
This high-flying contest would be awesome to see.
The first thing I want to say is that I don't want Randy Orton in the main event again. So I thought it would be fun to stick him in the ring with Mark Henry.
Both of them are nuts right now. So wouldn't it be awesome to see them go off on each other? Mark Henry got a huge push at Money in the Bank by destroying the Big Show.
Randy Orton pretty much flipped and beat the hell out of Christian.
So Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton would make sense, right? And if Mark Henry actually won this match, it would propel him to the No. 1 contender's spot.
There's a few things that are wrong with this, but I'm still gonna stick with it. These two heels are at the top in Smackdown right now. There's nothing wrong with having two heels go one-on-one.
Sheamus is the No. 1 contender without a doubt right now.
And we can have a favorite heel. We can cheer for Christian or Sheamus in this match.
They both have very different styles of wrestling and neither of them are predictable main eventers. It would be nice to have two new superstars in the spotlight for a change.
So, I would love to see the top two superstars other than Randy Orton fighting it out.
We just had this match on Raw. But it was an awesome match.
Kofi Kingston picked up a big win on Jack Swagger this past week and if WWE wants to give him some sort of main event push, putting him against The Miz would certainly do a good job.
And it's not like Kofi doesn't have a chance. Alex Riley had a few wins over Miz in a row. So why can't Kofi Kingston, who has more in-ring experience and has been with the company a lot longer, pick up a win over a former WWE champion?
Plus, with The Miz having an injured leg, Kofi has an even better chance. We know both men are capable of getting the win since The Miz hit a Skull Crushing Finale out of nowhere for the win this past Monday.
Hear me out on this one. Dolph Ziggler is need of a push. A big push. Like a Mason Ryan-type push. Mason Ryan is expected to be someone's bodyguard. Why not Dolph Ziggler?
The New Nexus is no more at the moment. But David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty are still the WWE Tag Team Champions.
This is more of a push for a Ziggler match than anything else. I recall The Miz holding the United States Championship and having one half of the WWE Tag Team Championship. So why can't this work for Ziggler? And Mason Ryan is a force, and will be a WWE champion one day.
Ryan is like Batista and as I recall, he started off being Tag Team Champion with Ric Flair (after a stint as Devon's bodyguard).
This would be a good way to push Ziggler. Plus, the WWE needs a good heel team right now.
The rivalry between these two started up R-Truth's new character and main event push. Now it's time the WWE used it to bring John Morrison back to where he left off.
R-Truth has been one of the most entertaining superstars to watch lately.
Every time he comes out speaking to himself, you just wonder what he's saying. With John Morrison, it's different. When he wrestles, you wonder, how did he do that?
Morrison is a big risk taker. He got hurt because of it.
But if he is a real wrestler, that won't stop him from taking some bumps and bruises. Hopefully that is the case.
Now that the Corre is finished, it's time to establish them all as independent wrestlers.
Ezekiel Jackson is the current Intercontinental Champion and he did not compete at Money in the Bank. But I don't see him missing this event.
My favorite to win this match would be Wade Barrett, but Justin Gabriel will get a push soon enough. He was main eventing at his home town in South Africa and he apparently did an awesome job.
Fatal Four Ways are usually entertaining and this would be a good way to finally separate everyone.
We've seen a match like this before. Edge won a breifcase from Mr. Kennedy.
So its not unrealistic to see this kind of match. These two put on a great show last week on Smackdown. Cody Rhodes has been getting a real push as of late and with Bryan winning Money in the Bank, this match would actually mean something.
Daniel Bryan lost to Rhodes last week, so I can see Rhodes being outraged because he just beat Bryan and deserves to have the briefcase.
I don't want Bryan to lose it, though. Just put it on the line and make the match interesting.
Alberto Del Rio will be champion by Summerslam. So let's finally get the match we want.
John Cena finally has a good showing and now we need to have another one. Alberto Del Rio is not CM Punk. But we have been predicting that this match will happen at Summerslam for some time now.
Plain and simple. Cena and Del Rio was meant to happen here.
This isn't a match I know. But this is what we HAVE to see.
CM Punk started a war with the Rock by expressing his displeasure that the Rock main evented WrestleMania.
Let's get them in the ring together. Maybe even fight it out.
This would make Summerslam memorable.
I wanted to put Mr. McMahon vs. Triple H for the right to be Chairman, but since Vince legitimately might be leaving, I don't see it happening.
