WWE Money in the Bank Results: Alberto Del Rio Wins! What Does That Mean?

The Mexican aristocrat wins the RAW MITB briefcase.

Really?!

I never saw that one coming. It is a most unimpressive and predictable victory. There, I said it.

Is that really the case?

Tonight on RAW, we are to witness what is to be John Cena's last moments in WWE, as he is to be "fired" by the chairman of the board, Vince McMahon.

I believe the rumors going around stating that the former champion is injured and needs time away from the ring in order to be truly ready for his epic encounter with The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII.

No man can withstand so much punishment all year long and be injury-free very long, and I know he is not old, but John Cena is 34, not 24, so his body has changed. I know because we share the same age.

Things don't heal the same way anymore, and I bet he needs a lot of time off. I hope he takes it. I may not be a fan of the character, but I really admire the man and wish him the best and speediest recovery IF THAT IS THE CASE.

Where does that leave Alberto Del Rio and new WWE Champion CM Punk?

Is the champion really leaving? It seems like it.

Mr. RAW Money in the Bank may not even have a person to target right now.

Alberto Del Rio is a character that is so "secure" he may very well be the first man to lose a cash in.

***This just announced on RAW...a new WWE Champion to be crowned tonight!

Let's start here again.

There is an eight-man tournament scheduled.

At the end of the night, the new champion will lose his title to Alberto Del Rio; thus, we will have a new "face" and "heel" on RAW.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler

Jack Swagger vs.  R-Truth

Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

The Miz vs. Alex Riley

We have amazing talent in the tournament, but it could also be time for some new blood to shine.

This I could see...The Miz OR Kofi OR Rey Mysterio.

The first could be that potential "face" I was referring to, and the other two are the good guys who haven't been WWE champions yet.

It seems clear to me right now at 9:20 that Cena and Punk are out. The "Straightedge Superstar" took the belt with him last night.

I am praying so hard for a new title belt to be commissioned. It is time now. Out with the old and ugly and in with the new.

The planned main event at SummerSlam between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio shouldn't happen now right? It is too bad John Morrison is injured, as he could have been the perfect fit to hold and lose the gold to the MITB winner.

That would have set up a great match for the summer spectacular on August 14. 

The Miz vs. Rey Mysterio or Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio...those two matches could be great WWE title matches as well.

Imagine the champion also be Mr. Money in the Bank 2011. Anything can happen in the WWE. Then again, I remind you that Del Rio could very well be screwed by destiny and be the guy who loses a cash-in.

His character is strong enough to survive and it would add further development to his storyline. He is going to get that belt this year anyway...I can feel it. Could be in September at Night of Champion.

Whatever happens in the next few months, only God himself knows, but tonight, history will be made, and we will witness the crowning of the 43rd WWE champion.

Oh! Alberto Del Rio is about to speak...time to get back to RAW.
