Who Should Host the ESPYs Next Year? Here's 10 Hosts We'd Like To See

0 of 10

The ESPYs are one of the most fun events of the sporting year.

But the show can only be as good as its host.

For the last two years Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers has done a nice job as host (although some of the things he said this year were painfully unfunny), but I think we can all agree that it's time for somebody new to take the stage.

    So who should it be?

Well, assuming James Franco and Anne Hathaway aren't available (sarcasm), here's 10 people we'd like to see hosting the festivities.

10. Jamie Foxx

Few excelled more as an ESPY host than Jamie Foxx.

He hosted the event back in '03 and '04, and he was hilarious.

The multi-talented Foxx is one of the most likable celebrities around, and he loves sports.

We'd love to see him host again.

9. Justin Timberlake

Is anybody more comfortable in front of a crowd than Justin Timberlake?

Whether you like him or not, you have to respect how cool and relaxed he always seems.

Back in 2008, Justin was a controversial choice to host the ESPYs, but after he gave perhaps the best opening monologue at any awards ceremony on this side of 2000, he gained the respect of the sports world.

The dude is just a flat out entertainer.

8. Adam Sandler

With his recent string of kids movies, people are starting to appreciate Adam Sandler less and less. That's really a shame.

He's still one of the funniest men alive, when he wants to be.

If he was given the ESPY hosting gig, I know he wouldn't disappoint, he's a veteran in comedy, and that's worth something.

7. Ray Romano

It may seem like an odd choice, but I think Ray Romano could do a great job as the ESPYs host.

Every time I see Romano in anything, I always think to myself "this guy isn't funny," but then he somehow makes me laugh.

    He's sneakingly funny.

And we all know he loves sports.

I think he could come up with something like this that works to his strengths.

6. Will Smith

5 of 10

    Why not?

Will Smith is the biggest movie star on the planet by a landslide, nobody dislikes him, he's funny, smart, and most importantly, he loves sports.

You can't go wrong with Will Smith.

5. Brian Wilson

Look at what he's wearing, you don't think he'd be an interesting host?

4. Aziz Ansari

7 of 10

There is a point in a great comedian's career when they are just so funny that they could make you laugh reading the phone book.

Eddie Murphy was there at one time, Jim Carrey had a nice run, but right now, that guy is Aziz Ansari.

The dude is flat out hilarious.

I don't know whether or not he's a sports fan, but if he is, he needs to do this.

3. Paul Rudd

8 of 10

In the Internet age, it's so rare to find a celebrity that's universally liked.

In fact, it's damn near impossible. But, think for a second, do you or anybody you know dislike Paul Rudd?

    He's just so damn likable.

He's also one of the funniest men in Hollywood.

I know Rudd is a big sports fan.

    Give this man a microphone.

2. Vince Vaughn

9 of 10

Vince Vaughn is the ultimate guy's guy.

Every time he's acted like himself in a movie (Old School, Wedding Crashers), it's been a hit.

There's a reason for that, people love the fast-talking, partying, money Vince Vaughn, and if he hosted the ESPYs, I'm sure that's exactly what we'd get.

I don't think anybody would be upset with Vaughn as host.

1. Will Ferrell & John C. Reilly

10 of 10

Since the turn of the century, no man has made us laugh more than Will Ferrell.

He's already been responsible for some of the funniest ESPY moments over the years, why hasn't he been given the hosting gig yet?

If he ever does get to host, I think his friend John C. Reilly should co-host it with him.

The chemistry between these two is flat out amazing. They're absolutely hilarious as a duo.

And maybe the best part about having these two host would be the inevitable cameos by Zach Galifinakis and Mark Wahlberg.

Either way, ESPN needs to make this happen.

Who doesn't want to see more of this?
