UFC 132 Results: Live Play-by-Play and Analysis for the Entire Fight Card
The final event in a long stretch of weekly UFC and Strikeforce events, UFC 132 will showcase the first ever bantamweight title fight in the Octagon.
UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz will defend his UFC belt for the first time in a rematch against Urijah Faber, who is responsible for the only loss of Cruz's career.
Also, a fight between MMA legend Wanderlei Silva and the always exciting Chris Leben will be sure to produce fireworks.
Additionally, Tito Ortiz will fight for his UFC career against Ryan Bader. Plenty of other big names such as Dennis Siver, Melvin Guillard, Brian Bowles, Carlos Condit and Dong Hyun Kim will also look to take steps forward in their respective divisions.

Jeff Hougland vs. Donny Walker

Walker attempts a superman punch, but Hougland ducks it and takes the fight to the round. Hougland stacks Walker for some ground-and-pound and attempts to move to side control, but Walker keeps full guard.
Walker tries to push Hougland off of him, but Hougland jumps right back on his opponent and attempts a guillotine. In doing so, Hougland give up his position with two minutes remaining in the round, though.
Walker stacks Hougland and rolls him over to his knees. Now, Walker is looking for D'Acrce choke, but Hougland fights it off and reverses Walker.
Walker jumps on a leg lock attempt at the end of the round, but runs out of time.

Round 2
Hougland is keeping distance and landing a number of leg kicks early in the round. Hougland scores with a spinning back fist and continues to chop at the lead leg of Walker.
Hougland is picking Walker apart with jabs now and lands a solid knee to the body. Walker is throwing hay-makers, but nothing is landing.
After a break for a low blow, Hougland tags Walker with a left hook and jumps on a guillotine attempt. Walker barely fights off the submission in the last minute of the round, though.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Hougland.
Round 3
Walker presses forward and and lands a knee against the fence. Hougland falls to the ground with a weak takedown attempt and Walker ends up on top.
Hougland attempts an arm bar, but Walker slams his way out of the submission attempt. Referee Mario Yamasaki stands the fighters up shortly after the submission attempt fails.
Walker lands a hard right hook and Hougland shoots in for a dobule leg. Walker sprawls and winds up on top, but is reversed shortly after.
Walker needs a miracle with one minute remaining in the round. Hougland finishes off the fight with some ground-and-pound to the body of Walker.

Hougland defeats Walker by unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28).
Anthony Njokuani vs. Andre Winner

Njokuani catches Winner with a left hook in the first minute, but Winner looks clear-headed. Njokuani is scoring with his diverse striking arsenal.
Njokuani is using his length to pick Winner with kicks to the body and legs. Njokuani blasts winner with an uppercut and starts teeing off on a wobbled Winner.
Njokuani picks his shots and doesn't punch himself out. Somehow, Winner survives the round, but just barely.
B/R scores the round 10-8 Njokuani.
Round 2
An Njokuani head kick grazes Winner to start the round. Njokuani still looks fresh despite unloading on Winner in the first round.
Njokuani presses forward and hurts WInner again with a left hand. Winner drops to his knees, but regains his feet and senses shortly after.
Winner lands an uppercut, but Njokuani is unaffected. Under two minutes remaining in the round and Njokuani is answering with leg kicks.
Winner can't seem to get inside, as Njokuani continues to keep the British fighter at the end of his reach.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Njokuani.
Round 3
Not much action in the first two minutes of the final frame. Njokuani realizes he doesn't have to take any chances and Winner is still having trouble landing.
Njokuani starts landing leg kicks with two minutes remaining in the round, but Winner presses the Nigerian against the fence and lands a left hook.
Njokuani separates and begins landing more leg kicks in the final minute of the fight.

Njokuani defeats Winner by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26).
Brad Tavares vs. Aaron Simpson

Simpson looks to take the fight to the ground quickly with a double leg. Tavares defends, but Simpson is lands left hands up against the cage. After grinding on Tavares against the cage, Simpson is invited to the center of the cage by referee Josh Resenthal.
Simpson presses Tavares against the fence again shortly after, though, and begins landing left hands from the clinch. The round ends in a wild exchange that ends with Tavares being taken down against the fence.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Simpson.
Round 2
Simpson lands a leg kick, but Tavares counters with a hard right hand. Tavares backs Simpson up with another right, but Simpson body locks and takes Tavares down.
Tavares regains his feet quickly, but he is pressed up against the fence. Tavares reverses position and slams Simpson. Simpson bounces right back up, though, and is looking for a modified guillotine.
Simpson releases the submission attempt and grinds on Tavares up against the cage for the final minute of the round.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Simpson.
Round 3
Simpson lands a left and takes the fight right back to the fence. Tavares circles away quickly, though. Simpson jumps in for a superman punch and then attempts a double leg, but Tavares defends again.
Simpson secures a body lock, but Tavares somehow maintains his footing. Simpson finally secures a takedown, though, and takes Tavares' back from a standing position.
Simpson secures another takedown toward the end of the fight, which should seal the victory. Tavares should be proud with the takedown defense he showed in this fight, though.

Simpson defeats Tavares by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).
Brian Bowles vs. Takeya Mizugaki

Mizugaki lands the first strike of the fight with an outside leg kick. Another hard leg kick lands for Mizugaki with three-and-a-half minutes remaining in the round.
In addition to landing with his leg kicks, he is countering well with his right hand as Bowles looks to work inside.
Bowles presses Mizugaki against the cage and lands some knees to the body. Referee Mario Yamasaki breaks the fighters up with seconds remaining in the round.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Mizugaki.
Round 2
Bowles is landing his jab with a higher percentage in this round. Mizugaki isn't countering nearly as well either.
Mizugaki does land one right hook with about three minutes left in the round, though, and then lands a kick to the lead leg of the former WEC Bantamweight Champion.
Bowles catches a leg kick and drops Mizugaki with a right hand. Bowles immediately takes Mizugaki's back with a body triangle and looks for a rear naked choke.
Bowles tries to soften Mizugaki up with punches, but Mizugaki is maintaining wrist control. Mizugaki survives, but the scorecards are likely even now.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Bowles.
Round 3
Mizugaki lands a jumping left hook, but Bowles clinches and takes the fight to the fence. Mizugaki reverses positions, but Bowles separates.
Bowles secures a beautiful blow-through double leg and takes Mizugaki's back from a standing position. Bowles has both hooks in with under three minutes remaining in the round.
Yamasaki breaks the fighters up with one minute left in the fight. Mizugaki presses forward, but he can't land anything significant.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Bowles (29-28 Bowles).
Bowles defeats Mizugaki by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28).
George Sotiropoulos vs. Rafael Dos Anjos

Sotiropoulos is pressing the action early, but he gets caught with a huge, looping right hook. Sotiropoulos crumples to the ground and referee Yves Lavigne steps in before dos Anjos can inflict any unnecessary damage.
dos Anjos defeats Sotiropoulos by knockout (punch) at 0:59 of the first round.
Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller

Guillard gets things started with a right leg kick. He presses forward with a right hand and lands another hard leg kick to Roller's lead leg.
Guillard is looking a little too confident early, though, as he carries his hands at his hips.
As a type that, Guillard drops Roller with a short left hook and another knockdown from a straight left leads the the end of the fight.
Guillard defeats Roller by knockout (punches) at 2:12 of the first round.
Carlos Condit vs. Dong Hyun Kim
7 of 11Round 1
Condit comes forward with a combination, but Kim ducks and takes the fight to the ground with a double leg. Condit sweeps and reverses Kim, though.
Kim escapes quickly as Condit looks for a guillotine choke.Both fighters are tentative for a few minutes, but Condit opens up and lands a flying knee with two minutes remaining in the round.
Condit pounces and finishes Kim with a flurry of punches.
Condit defeats Kim by technical knockout (flying knee and punches) at 2:58 of the first round.
Tito Ortiz vs. Ryan Bader

Bader lands a right hand to counter a jab from Ortiz.
Ortiz drops Bader with a right hook and secures a guillotine. It's tight and Bader taps.
Ortiz wins for the first time since 2006.
Ortiz defeats bader by submission (guillotine choke) at 1:56 of the first round.
Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman
9 of 11Round 1
Siver lands a leg kick and follows it up with a left hook. Wiman shoots for a single leg, but Siver defends. That will be a key for Siver to win this fight, as it was against George Sotiropoulos in his last fight.
Wiman is scoring with leg kicks, but Siver is getting the better of every exchance. Wiman secures a takedown, but Siver quickly stands.
Siver uses a guillotine attempts to separate with one-and-a-half minutes remaining in the round. Siver ducks a punch and secures a takedown of his own, but lets Wiman up shortly after.
Wiman attempts another single leg, but Siver defends again and unloads a combination. Wiman answers with a big takedown at the end of the round, though.
B/R scores the round 10-10.
Round 2
Wiman is working hard for a takedown to begin the second round. Siver is defending, though, with one minute already gone in the round.
Wiman switches from a single leg to a double leg and takes Siver down. Wiman cuts Siver with an elbow and he could be on his way to winning this round with two minutes left.
Wiman lands some big elbows from the full guard. Wiman postures up and lands some heavy hands with one minute left in the round.
Siver is bloodied and could be down by two rounds on the scorecards depending on how the judges scores the first round.

Wiman looks for another takedown to start the third round, but Siver avoids it and creates space to strike. Siver attempts a spinning back kick, but it doesn't land.
Wiman lands a leg kick and attempts a sloppy single leg. Wiman continues to come forward, though, and lands two big right hands.
Wiman shoots in for a double leg with two minutes remaining. Siver defends, but Wiman attempts a guillotine choke. Siver slips out of it and stands.
Wiman catches a kick puts Siver on his back. Siver reverses position, though, and stands. Siver lands a right hand, but is taken down again in the final seconds.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Chris Leben

Silva lands a right hook, but Leben fires right back with a left hook that rocks Silva. Leben doesn't let off the gas. He drops Silva with uppercuts and forces referee Josh Rosenthal to step in and save "The Axe Murderer."
Leben defeats Silva by knockout at 0:27 of the first round.
Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber
11 of 11Round 1
Cruz lands a straight right to begin the action. Faber secures a body lock, but Cruz defends the takedown extremely well.
Cruz is using his footwork well as usual, as he lands a kick to the body. Cruz lands two leg kicks, but gets blasted with a right from Faber. The blow knocks Cruz down, but it looks like it had more to do with the champion losing his balance.
Cruz catches a leg kick and lands a nice combination. Cruz counters a wild punch from Faber with a left hook.
Faber is looking to land his over hand right, but he isn't going to find any consistency with it if Cruz continues his pace and head movement.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Cruz.
Round 2
Cruz stuffs a double leg takedown attempt.
Faber lands a left hook one minute into the round. Cruz answers with a left hook of his own, which is followed by a right hand.
Faber lands another left hook and a big right hook behind it. This is starting to look like it will be five rounds of a technical striking chess match.
Cruz steps out of a single leg and lands a right hook. Faber presses forward and Cruz trips, but he stands back up quickly with one minute remaining in the round.
Cruz becomes the first fighter to score a takedown and he could secure him the round.

Round 3
Faber opens the round with a leg kick, which is answered by a left hand from Cruz. Faber lands a left hook with one minute left in the round.
Faber lands a right hand, but Cruz fires back with a combination and a head kick. Faber looks to take the fight to the ground, but Cruz defends.
Faber secures a body lock and takes Cruz down, but Cruz hits a switch and reverses Faber. Faber escapes quickly and lands as the fighters separate.
Faber blocks a head kick but gets hit with a straight right. Another straight right lands for Cruz with one minute remaining in the round.
Cruz attempts a double leg, but Faber defends at the end of the round.
B/R scores the round 10-9 Cruz.
Round 4
Despite the frantic pace, both fighter still look to have plenty left in the tank.
Faber lands an inside leg kick and drops Cruz with a big right hand. Cruz recovers quickly, though. Faber is stuffed on a double leg attempt, but he lands an uppercut on the way out.
Cruz lands a right hand and a body kick. Cruz gets in deep on a double leg, but Faber defends and lands a right hook.
Cruz lands two right hooks with about 90 seconds left in the round. Faber stuffs another takedown and presses Cruz against the fence. Cruz reverses positions and the round comes to an end.

Round 5
Cruz lands a flying knee and presses forward. Cruz scores with a double leg, but Faber stands back up immediately.
Faber is pressed up against the fence with one minute gone in the round. Faber grabs a hold of Cruz's neck, but the champion escapes the submission attempt.
Cruz scores a takedown, but Faber escapes right away. Cruz looks for another takedown with two minutes left in the fight.
On my scorecard, Faber needs to make something happen, but every round has been fairly close.
Faber lands a grazing head kick with one minute left. Cruz takes Faber down twice, but Faber stands back up with 30 seconds left in the fight.
The fight ends with Cruz looking for another double leg takedown. Great fight from Faber, but I have the champion retaining his belt.
