WWE: Superstars' 2010-2011 Pay-Per-View Records: Part One

Joe M.May 5, 2011

Fans have their ideas as to who "always wins" or "always loses," but rarely does anyone actually stop and look at the numbers: the Superstars' win-loss records at the shows that really matter, pay-per-views.

The numbers can be surprising when written in black and white, right there for you to see.  For example, John Cena has a losing pay-per-view record.  That's right, IWC, Cena not only doesn't always win, but has a losing record.

We'll be looking at Superstars' records from Over the Limit 2010 through Extreme Rules 2011.  A win is any time a match was won, and a loss is anytime someone entered a match and did not win, including matches like The Royal Rumble or Championship Scrambles.

As always, read through and leave a comment below with your thoughts.

Kane

1 of 9

8-3-1

Kane exploded onto the main event scene in mid-2010 and feuded with The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship, ultimately winning the rivalry, picking up a number of wins along the way.

Competing in 12 matches, Kane was put over opponent(s) eight times, only losing or fighting to the draw four times.

Rey Mysterio

2 of 9

6-6

50/50.  Rey's record is split right down the middle, winning 50 percent of his matches, and losing 50 percent.  Rey also had a short run with the World Heavyweight Championship in 2010.

CM Punk

3 of 9

0-9

There are rumors that CM Punk is unhappy with his situation in WWE.  I wonder why?  Maybe it's because he literally never wins (at least in the last year).

He did miss some time due to injury, but he didn't miss that much time.

Edge

4 of 9

7-3-2

This was Edge's last full year as a wrestler, as he was of course forced to retire due to a serious neck injury.  At least he ended his career on a high note, as the World Heavyweight Champion and with a winning record.

The Miz

5 of 9

5-5

The Miz is another guy who is split right down the middle.  In the last year, he has been Mr. Money in the Bank, the WWE Tag Team Champion, The United States Champion and the WWE Champion.

John Cena

6 of 9

5-6

But wait, I thought Cena "always won?"  Numbers don't lie... John Cena actually has a losing record.  That doesn't mean his gimmick isn't stale, but saying he always wins (at least at pay-per-views) isn't true... at all.

Chris Jericho

7 of 9

1-4

Ouch.  Jericho left in September, so only got five matches in between Over the Limit 2010 and Extreme Rules 2011, but that doesn't change the fact that he only won one of his matches.

Randy Orton

8 of 9

6-6-1

Randy Orton is yet another Superstar with a very balanced record.  It's not quite 50/50 because of his draw with Edge at Over the Limit 2010, but other that, he won six matches and lost six matches.

Part Two

9 of 9

Stay tuned for Part Two, which will feature the records of even more Superstars, and that is coming on Monday, May 9.

Part Two will feature The Undertaker, Sheamus, Wade Barrett and others.
