WWE: Planting Seeds Between Kingston and Del Rio Now for Something Big Later On?
First off, I'd like to mention that after the Super Bowl, I will be doing primarily NFL draft work on here. I will continue to write about wrestling, just not as often. This has nothing to do with this article, I thought I'd bring it up, though. Now to the article!
This Friday night on SmackDown, Alberto Del Rio cost Kofi Kingston a spot in the Elimination Chamber by appearing on the Titantron and simply winking at Kofi.
Later in the night, Kofi made the save as Del Rio had his signature arm bar locked in on Hornswaggle. Del Rio fled only to take advantage of a distraction from Ricardo Rodriguez. Del Rio would lock in his arm bar in on Kofi.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
We all know the history the WWE has with starting and stopping pushes of Kofi, but will he finally break through the "glass ceiling?"
This feud would only be about a month long, culminating at the Elimination Chamber, with Del Rio winning. I have no doubt in my mind that Del Rio would win, because he's not going into WrestleMania off a pay-per-view loss.
So, in the short term, Kingston wouldn't benefit from the feud a ton, it's about the bigger picture here. Just planting the seeds between these two.
You see, after the Elimination Chamber, the hype for WrestleMania is in full gear. If there is a Money in the Bank Match, things would start to make perfect sense.
Kingston could qualify for the Money in the Bank Match and eventually win it at WrestleMania. Alberto Del Rio could win his World Heavyweight Championship against whoever his opponent or opponents maybe.
He wouldn't cash in immediately, just when it made sense. However, he would cash it in against Alberto Del Rio.
This sounds great, especially being the Kingston mark that I am. Is it realistic?
Kingston has become one of the most popular wrestlers among kids. He gets the biggest pop of any current mid-carder in the WWE. This means Kingston is a big money maker, and we all know Vince McMahon loves money.
He is always doing interviews promoting the WWE, just like the current WWE Champion The Miz. If seems to me like Kingston does more interviews than about anyone.
His botching problem seems to have faded and it isn't as big of a problem with a taped show (SmackDown) as it is on a live show (Raw).
He could also provide them the next big African-American star, something the WWE currently lacks. Is the WWE finally going to give Kingston his well-deserved push? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
