Wrestlemania XXVII: Who Is Going To Face the Undertaker This Year?

Hello Bleachers! It's been a while since I've actually written something here on Bleacher Report, but I just wanted to fill you guys is on a bit of news. I'm sure you've heard it already, no doubt about it.

However, I want to spark up some debate here on BleacherReport and read through your guy's opinion and perspective about this. If you want to read this report, you can click here.

Apparently, the Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett plans for Wrestlemania XXVII have been "scrapped" and supposedly removed from the Wrestlemania card.

Quite a shame really. I was highly anticipating the Undertaker vs. Wade Barrett match at Wrestlemania despite the criticism that the IWC has placed upon it because it would have solidified Barrett as a main-eventer even if he did lose.

Plus, the build-up I imagined would have been really nice.

Again, this is just rumoured, so I wouldn't get TOO much into this report. It's WWE, and they might just be throwing us a curveball along with giving us false hope of a possible Sting/Taker bout at Wrestlemania.

But there has to be some truth behind it. Who will Wade Barrett face then if he is not matched up with Undertaker? Will he team up with the Corre to take on the Nexus?

But more importantly, who will the dead-man face this year? The source also says that Sting is not in any way shape or form likely to even appear for WWE, so I wouldn't bet my money on Sting just yet.

Not just because the report says so, but because Sting is apparently close to signing a deal with TNA again which slims the chances of Taker vs. Sting. I will say this again, this is a REPORT.

Insiders might as well been have been lying to cover up a Sting/Taker bout. I'm going to be a realist here. I don't think Sting will come to WWE and face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. It's not going to happen. If he does, kudos to you. You get a cookie.

Same goes for Brock Lesnar. However, I'm pretty sure WWE and the IWC scratched his name off months ago.

Will it be a returning Chris Jericho? I actually predicted last year the Jericho would win this years Rumble, and face the Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship. Alas, our saviour left us months ago, however, this would be the perfect time to come back since it's Wrestlemania time.

Still, Jericho facing the Undertaker would make no sense whatsoever because Y2J still has some unfinished business with the Viper, Randy Orton.

And apparently, Jericho is enjoying his time off, and doesn't want to come back for a while, if he's even planning to come back at all.

Will it be Triple H? I really hope not. Not because of the fact that they won't put a good match, or because they have already faced each other at Wrestlemania.

It's because Triple H has to fight Sheamus in a match that has been nearly one year in the making. As of right now, it's looking highly likely that it will be Sheamus vs. Triple H with a hardcore stipulation involved at Wrestlemania.

However, apparently, the report states that Shawn Michaels might be playing a role in the match. Maybe as a guest referee to add tension? I'd go for that.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker with Shawn Michaels as Special Guest Referee sounds great. Triple H wants to get revenge for Taker retiring Michaels. Understandable. But again, Sheamus comes into this equation and totally blows it out of the water.

Will it be Kane vs. The Undertaker? God. No. Please. We've watched several matches between them that it just gets boring. I could definitely see it happening however.

Will it be a triple threat between Del Rio, Edge and Taker for the title? That sounds like a great main-event! Except for the fact that a Royal Rumble winner will lose his title match at Wrestlemania for the fourth time in a row if it were to happen.

Goldberg? Ehhhhh...I'd go for it. Is it likely to occur? I have no clue to be honest. Goldberg wants a final match, so, why not Taker vs. Goldberg? At least he'll be a legitimate threat to Taker.

This is the part that got me, though. Apparently, WWE wants it to be a big selling point to the PPV. So, will WWE finally pull the trigger on John Cena vs. The Undertaker?

Extremely unlikely. It's almost confirmed the Cena will be facing Miz at Wrestlemania now. Plus, I can't even begin to imagine how an Undertaker/Cena feud would start.

Well, Taker is coming to RAW in two weeks. So, that raises this matches chance by 1%. The WWE Championship may as well have CM Punk vs. Orton vs. Miz, with John Cena gone to feud with Taker.

But, I'm not holding my breath here. Miz eliminated Cena from the Rumble. That's a big indication that those two will square off.

So, who do you Bleachers truly think Taker will face? Is the reports even being truthful, or you think it's a false report to get us surprised for when Taker vs. Sting does happen for instance?

You think WWE will actually go for Taker vs. Barrett? Leave a comment below telling me anything you want!

Until then, this is Ray Samuels signing off.
