The one thing that is as sure as sunrise and sunset is the falling and rising of the tides.  However, if you watched the Alabama/Clemson game then what you saw didn't resemble a simple rising tide, but more like a violent storm surge.  Clemson was completed dominated on both sides sides of the ball by Alabama.  There was a brief spark on the opening kickoff of the second half, but as the old saying goes "'lighning' never strikes the same place twice."  Saban nation is riding high after a game where JP Wilson looked more like a Heisman trophy canadit, than the disappointment he's been for the past 2 years.  Bama's #1 recruiting class had their numbers called a lot too.  Alabama posted over 400 yards of offense while holding #9 Clemson to a meager 189, but bigger than that they held "Thunder and Lightning" to a combined 21 yards rushing(no that's not a typo).

Coffee and Ingram rushed for 91 and 97 yards ,  JP Wilson was on fire hitting 22 of 30 for 179 yds and 2 TD.  Those of you who watched the game know that Bama beat them far worse than the 34-10 score shows.  I know it's only the opener and that Clemson still has a shot at the ACC title, but when you enter being the class of your conference and hopes of a national title in your minds and you lose 34-10 to a team that is considered to be around 4th or 5th for there conference, that's going to stick with you for a few weeks.  I personally believe that Clemson could fall apart after this loss and not even make the ACC title game, all because there hopes a dreams were destroyed in 60 short minutes in Atlanta.  Alabama was scary good in this game, and could be the "stick in spokes" of the SEC wheel this season.

I am a Auburn fan so I will be talking about Auburns game.   I was disapointed, yes it was a 34-0 win, yes it was a 400+ yard game for the new offense, but those 34 points were scored off of L. Monroes miscues:  a fumble recovered for a TD, punt retured for a TD, and a fumble on the kickoff that AU recovered and drove in for the score.  Other than that all they did was drive down field a kick FG.  I hope that the old saying "you improve the most between game 1 and game 2" holds true for Auburn.
