The Original 2008 College Football Championship Series: Championship Game

Well it all comes down to this. After months of predicting and previewing the season, I have given you the top eight teams to enter a playoff and you have voted and narrowed it down to the final two.

Last week's semifinals had a huge turnout and the following are the results of the semifinal matchups.

#1 Southern Cal Trojans (13-0) vs. #4 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-1)

In a rematch of the earlier season meeting that saw the Trojans beat the Buckeyes, the voters have spoken and once again, the Trojans come out on top.

Southern Cal (53%) beats Ohio State (47%)

#2 Florida Gators (14-0) vs. #3 Oklahoma Sooners (14-0)

In what would be a great game, Bob Stoops faces his old team in Florida for the first time and this truly would be a great game to watch and attend. But in the voting, Florida ran away with the matchup and moves on to the national title game.

Florida (65%) beats Oklahoma (35%)

Now we are finally down to the national championship game. The Southern Cal Trojans versus the Florida Gators. This is a matchup that I think most of the nation would love to see. Speed and talent on display all over the field. The strong Trojan defense against Tim Tebow and the Gator offense.

So go vote and make your voice heard for who you think will be the national champion in 2008!

The champion and Heisman winner will be revealed on Friday when the voting ends.
