I've heard it all now and I'm afraid for all you reading, you are going to hear it too.
This is my third rant in as many day's and it involves my beloved Rangers.
Celtic signed Glenn Loovens from Cardiff City this week for around £2.5m after a chase that involved both sides of the Old Firm.
That's not what upset me though. What upset me was Cardiff manager Dave Jones parting shot at Loovens.
Jones told Loovens he was taking a step back in his career by joining the Glasgow giant's. Does he really believe that?

A two team league it may be but they are two whopping great clubs.
Celtic play in front of 60,000 every other week, they are almost guaranteed silverware and most importantly, they play in the UEFA Champions League!
Look at the players in the picture above. Henrik Larsson and Mikel Arteta. Quality.
What was Jones smoking?
Cardiff may have got to the FA Cup Final last season but I'll guarantee it won't happen again!
The Cardiff side is funnily enough full of Rangers cast off's. Steven Thompson, Gavin Rae and Ross McCormick.
Have they taken a step up to the Championship Dave?
Cardiff have NEVER played in the English top flight, They've also just sold one of their best players (and their hottest prospect in Aaron Ramsey to Arsenal).
I'm feeling you Dave. You are so right. Cardiff is the centre of the football universe!
Get off your high horse and wish a loyal servant well in his career.
You grumpy old fart!

To a degree Andrew, I can see where Jones is coming from with his comment. On the whole I agree with your argument, especially in terms of the sheer size of the Old Firm pair.
The Championship is without a doubt one of the craziest and most exciting leagues in the world, where a team can be threatened with relegation, only to be challenging for a play-off spot after a good run. Also, the standard of football compares favourably with the SPL. Cardiff City are certainly trying to build something, a model that might see them progress in terms of size and success. Whether or not that model is successful is open to debate and only time will tell. I don't think Jones was for one minute trying to intimate that Cardiff is a bigger club that Rangers or Celtic, but that if Loovens stayed then he might end up playing Premiership football at some point in the future - a more appealing prospect to a player than playing in the SPL.
The flip-side to that of course is that at Celtic he is almost guaranteed winner's medals (sorry, I know you're a 'gers fan!)!

Haha no need to be sorry...i said it myself.
The SPL is a growing league and the average standard is similar to the Championship I admit. Players leave the SPL for the championshp for money...not better football.
I don't think Cardiff will make the premiership...they are a selling club.
He can play for Holland easier at Celtic and the Champions League just ends the arguement.
Thanks for commenting mate. I just feel Dave Jones is being silly. As a coach I'd be proud to see players I've helped improve go onto bigger things.

I must agree, the Rangers and Celts (pardon the abbreviation) make the SPL look like a two-team league. However, its still a fun league to watch. The Championship though is alot more interesting to watch.
ps. Cardiff wont make it to the EPL and if they did, they'd be relegated rite away.

I don't get his comments at all, I mean this kid will now be involved ina great title battle, and what would he have done at Cardiff? Recieve uneccesary stick because of a crap team performance?
Cardiff are nothing compared to Celtic, who have enough quality to play in the CL. What a sad act. All Cardiff are is a very good feeder club for the bigger teams, like Rangers and Celtic. Nuff said.
