Fantasy Hockey Preview: 2008-09 Chicago Blackhawks
We are now about a month away from the start of training camp for the 2008-09 NHL season, and my hockey-crazed brother and I have begun work on our own fantasy hockey magazine, predicting the stats for every player on the starting roster of an NHL team.
We hope we can accurately predict most players' statistics, and we hope to help you with your fantasy hockey teams. A new article will be posted every couple of days at the most, and some teams will come even sooner. We will be doing this in alphabetical order.
2008-09 Projected Lineup
Patrick Sharp-Jonathan Toews-Patrick Kane
Dustin Byfuglien-Robert Lang-Martin Havlat
Andrew Ladd-David Bolland-Kevyn Adams
Ben Eager-Adam Burish-Jack Skille
Brian Campbell-Duncan Keith
Brent Seabrook-Brent Sopel
James Wisniewski-Cam Barker
Toews would have won the Calder Trophy for best rookie last year if not for an unfortunate injury—and I expect him to have a huge sophomore season.
Watch Out For
This guy has all the tools to be a point-per-game player in the NHL, but injuries have been a big problem throughout his stay in Chicago.
