Former WWE Diva Aloisia: The Exclusive B/R Interview
Lindsay Hayward tends to stand out in a crowd.
Sporting a 6-foot-9 inch frame since the tender age of 13, it's only natural that dirt-sheet fodder implicating the Amazonian wrestler in a worked firing, erotic photos, and a subsequent shoot firing would cause unrest and polarization in the perpetual ongoing electronic town hall meeting known as the Internet.
Once the talk of a pivotal third season in the soon to be short lived franchise of WWE NXT, Hayward, who is known as Isis the Amazon on the independent scene and was dubbed Aloisia during her stint with the WWE, had potential to be somewhat of a savior for the fledgling hit or miss wrestling show on Tuesday nights. However the at times self-destructive TV-PG/political agenda enforced by the WWE has once again resulted in a controversial casualty.

New Wave of WWE Cuts ✂️

Was Brock's Ending a Sendoff or a Setup?
The WWE has had a history of bad timing when it comes to potentially money-drawing talent. There was the whole fiasco with Muhummad Hassan right as he was on the precipice of Iron Shiek heat. Then the Fed was infamously forced to fire cult hero Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) when he Latrell Sprewelled Justin Roberts with his own tie (too soon late?).
News of Aloisia's release from the WWE broke last night and the standout wrestler has had a lot to say both during and after being somewhat of a mainstay in the headlines of your favorite pro wrestling tabloid. Thankfully, Aloisia agreed to conduct one of her first interviews since the incident with Big Nasty and Bleacher Report.
Last night it was reported that you were released from your WWE contract. Did you see this coming at all?
First of all, thank you for having me. Basically what was discussed between WWE and myself is a private conversation so whether or not I saw it coming was quite irrelevant, it just happened.
As many people know by now, you were selected to be on Season 3 of WWE NXT, but then you were abruptly removed from the show. I think a lot of people were disappointed to learn that you wouldn't be a part of Season 3. What was your initial reaction when you found out you weren't going be a part of NXT?
Well, obviously, I was a little disappointed but the WWE is a business and they have the right to hire and fire and kick off whoever they choose so it was pretty much out of my hands.
Have you been watching Season 3 of NXT?
Yes, I have been.
And what are your thoughts on the show so far?
I think all the girls have worked very hard to get to where they are. They each have their own unique talent, and I think if they keep on working hard they'll all make it to the main roster of WWE, each and every one of them.
This whole situation, with your WWE release, reeks of what I've dubbed Daniel Bryanism to where he was kind of released under some bogus circumstances and once everything blew over he was allowed to return to the company. Could we see this same situation play out with you to where you eventually return?
You know, it's funny people do tell me that this reminds them of the whole Daniel Bryan situation over and over again and, you know what? I have no comment on the situation (laughter).
Have you at all been contacted by TNA?
You know? I have been having some meetings recently and I am available for bookings and such. Since I have exited my contract that's definitely a possibility but I can't give out too many details at this moment.
Going back to the NXT conversation, there's speculation that you were removed from the show as punishment for some erotic photos of you that recently surfaced on the web. However, your replacement Kaitlyn has had erotic photos of her own surface, and I believe them to be way more risque than anything you've done. Is there a double standard here?
Honestly, like I've just stated, the WWE is a business and as such has the right to fire and hire whoever they choose for any reason. That is their decision and that's what they have to deal with.![]()
There were also reports out there that perhaps you were too green to be featured on WWE NXT. You have specifically addressed reports of being too green to be on TV at this point. As a matter of fact I'm going to quote you on your response to such claims as you said quote “LOL”. So how do you feel your in-ring development has progressed to this point in your career?
What's so funny about it is that it's called NXT 'rookies' and, you know, we're called 'rookies'. What's funny about it is that even if I am green it's a chance for me to go out there and showcase my skills so it wouldn't really pertain to me being on TV or not if I was too green. However, aside from that, what's funny is that all my videos that are on Youtube and on my old website were shot over the span of two years from the beginning of my wrestling career to six months ago or eight months ago. So anything you've seen is not necessarily recent.
I just wanted to throw that out there because there are a lot of people attacking me for being too green and I do have a lot to learn – everybody's got a lot to learn – but NXT Season three was for rookies. It was basically designed for rookie talent to go out there and showcase their potential and I think a lot of people are forgetting that.
Between you, me, and everybody who's going to read this interview, and without mentioning Eli Cottonwood's name, there has been talent on that show that was pretty green to be featured on NXT, but who still had potential of being an attraction. I think you have potential to be a big time attraction given your unique and imposing look, but how motivated are you to be a wrestler or an in-ring competitor rather than simply an attraction?
I am highly motivated. For me, I love to learn, and anything I could do to help better my career whether it be learning new moves or learning new ways to do things, anything that is career-oriented I definitely want to give 110% and succeed in being awesome and outstanding at everything I do.
Was pro wrestling something that came to you, given your size and unique look, or would you have had a passion to be a pro wrestler even if you were 4'9?
That's not really a possibility for me to think about since I've been 6 foot 9 inches tall since I was 13 years old. So it's not really in my realm of possibility to know or even care what I'd be thinking if I was 4 foot 9 inches tall (laughter).
The WWE, almost without fail, has taken larger than life characters like yourself, or anybody who has a unique look, and made the into a comedy act somewhere down the road. Are you at all concerned with what the creative team may have in store for your character?
No – I mean – Basically my character is being myself and noting that I think being able to be who I am would give creative more to run with.![]()
You know, if you're talking about babyface or heel, I'd definitely much prefer to be a heel. However I do wanna be taken seriously because I'm a dominant force and I am not to be messed with so I do go out there, I conquer, I take what I want, and I get it when I want it so just keep that in mind (laughter).
Now I am familiar with your independent work and I've seen a fair amount of matches where you compete with members of the opposite sex. Should you be featured in a mainstream promotion, would you have any aspirations to go after any of the championship titles traditionally held by males?
Well, promoters basically have their own booking staff and whatever they want I basically go in and do. I have gotten the heavyweight championship of some promotion in Oregon, you know, where I actually wound up being injured but that's another story. So for you to ask me if I've ever gone into a promotion and basically taken a championship away from a man I have and I loved it!
You seem to be gaining popularity by the minute and you're definitely developing a strong following. I've written a couple articles about you and whenever I do I get great feedback from my readers and great responses, so I decided to turn it over to my readers to ask you a question. I received a lot of unique questions (questions about your height, etc. which are too predictable) but this one is interesting. It comes from Heath in New Jersey, and Heath asks: Aloisia, are you single?
(Laughter), out of all the questions, huh?! The answer is yes. Yes, I am decidedly single and I do plan to remain single.
I'd like to once again thank you for interviewing with me and before I let you go I have one more question. When are we going to see you again?
If you just visit www.aloisiaonline.com you can follow my latest bookings and everything like that. Like I said, last night I gave the announcement on my release and I basically was able to get booking inquiries and stuff like that so I'm handling everything like that and I just have to get my schedule straightened out and you'll see an event calendar in which you can follow and basically then you can decide when you're going to see me!
Special thanks to Aloisia (Lindsay Hayward) and Brad Konia for putting this together.
