First things first the Raiders got totally embarrassed by the Titans. In what was supposed to be the start of a new era the Raiders looked like the team that has stunk it up for the past seven seasons. What has Raider nation worried the most is how the O line looked like they wouldnt be able to block a high school line. But lets not get to thinking that the sky is falling. I personally did not think that the Raiders would win against the Titans but I also did not expect the game to be over at halftime. A silver lining in this horrible opening weekend is the play of Darren Mcfadden the back looked like a guy who does not want to give Micheal Bush his starting job back and with his play on sunday he made a strong case for himself.

The Raiders are now 0-1 and to be truthful with all of you during the game I got on here and posted some comments that were in the heat of frustration. Hell who would not be frustrated after 7 years of bad luck anyone would get ansty. We Raider fans are not delusional into thinking this team had good expectations, a lot of so called experts had the Raiders on the up and up as being a team on the rise. So first things first the Raider players need to forget this game period.

Once again we are 0-1. The first game of the season is over and we are 0-1 along with 15 other teams in the NFL after monday. Not to mention Denver lost today and the Chiefs and Chargers play each other tomorrow with the winner being the divisions only winner of the opening weekend. If the Raiders plan on making the playoffs they must first win the AFC west or at least be second. A 8-8 record is more likely the ceiling for this team this year. It is a young team with new starters on both sides of the ball that include rookies. The QB is also new and in a new system for the 6th or 7th time in his career so it will take time for this team to gel on offense and defense.

I was really surprised to see people commenting on here that Cable should be fired. That Al Davis should step down. That Gradkowski should start next week. Really people i mean Really ? Did you all forget Rich Gannons first season here? That team was a 8-8 team that struggled to find its identity which is what this team is doing now. No doubt this team has the talent to win games it just needs time. With 7 years of bad seasons I think we as Raider fans dont want to hear that we have to wait for this team to gel we want to see wins. We dont want to see our team get smacked in the mouth and get embarrassed on tv  on opening weekend. We want to be able to go to work and talk crap about how our team kicked butt and not be the joke of the work place.

With rookies starting on both sides of the ball and with a new offensive cordinator it is a work in progress. If after week 8 and this team is still playing like this then we can panic. Then we can call for Cables head and for Al to do something but this is the first week of the season with a lot of new players and schemes lets not blow things out of proportions. Once again I can not blame any Raider fans for not having patience but that is exactly what we need.
