If you are a rabid MMA fan like I am then this weekend may appear to be a bit bleak but don’t fret because the Amarillo-based promotion Shark Fights has put together a stellar card for us hungry fight fans.
This Saturday, September 11th, live from the Civic Center Coliseum in Amarillo, TX, Shark Fights will be making their pay per view debut with a tremendous card featuring some exciting and potentially explosive matchups.
Headlining the event is a light-heavyweight showdown between Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine and Shark Fights light-heavyweight champion Trevor Prangley.
Both Prangley and Jardine are coming off of disappointing losses and are in dire need of a statement win if they want to remain somewhat relevant in the sport.
The co-main event of the evening features two very explosive yet inconsistent light-heavyweights as Houston Alexander takes on Rameau Soukoudjou.
In a recent interview with Sprawl N Brawl Radio Soukoudjou talked about the importance of getting back to his judo roots and if he holds true to his word look for him to push his current win streak to three.
Also featured on the card will be British bomber, Paul Daley, who will be making his first appearance stateside since being released from the UFC for his ridiculous post fight antics at UFC 113.
Daley will be taking on boxer Jorge Masvidal and the more I think of this fight the more I can’t help but feel sorry for what Daley is going to do to Masvidal. Look for an impressive KTFO here boys and girls.
While this is not what anyone would classify as a dream card or a mega event, it is a solid card top to bottom with the potential for some very exciting fights so be sure to tune in Saturday night.
