In what may come as no shock to some. The WWE has officially deleted Jim Neidhart and Luna Vachon from their Alumni and where are they now page. While I can certainly understand the reason in which they did it. It doesn’t it make it right. Jim Neidhart gave his life and body for the WWE.
Just because the WWE is looking to keep their image squeaky clean, it doesn’t give them the right to erase what they did for the company. It is reasons like this that make it harder and harder for me to stay loyal to the long time wrestling goliath.
It’s even tackier that they removed Luna Vachon. They didn’t even wait for her body to get cold before wiping her out. I know she wasn’t the biggest legend out there, but she did contribute a decent amount to the company.
The WWE has a lot of power in the wrestling world, with that power comes responsibility. In my eyes it is not very responsible or nice to dismiss wrestlers who gave their lives and blood for a company. Even if they were involved in some questionable practices after they left.
I know some may be saying it isn’t all that big of a deal. Let’s think about that though, if HBK was caught up in a nasty scandal would the WWE do it to him also? Judging by the recent actions, I would have to believe they would.
By hook or crook every wrestler has earned their spot in WWE history. It is a slap in the face for past, current, and future wrestlers to come, that the WWE is doing this. I hope the families stand up for this and put an end to this nonsense.
