The Mean Green went on a mean ‘over’ tear last year thanks to the passing efficiency of Riley Dodge and the rushing abilities of Lance Dunbar. Dodge, a dual threat quarterback, threw for 1,975 yards and rushed for 463 more in ‘09. Dunbar carried the ball a whopping 200 times for 1,378 yards and seven TDs.

North Texas still doesn’t have any semblance of a defense to speak of, though. After holding Ball State to just ten points and Ohio to 31 to start the year, the ‘D’ just collapsed, allowing an average of 45.1 points per game in a six game stretch between September 19th and October 31st.

Make no mistake about this. North Texas is not going to go down without a fight on Saturday afternoon. The Mean Green can score and do so on anyone in the country.
