Raise Your Hand If You're Sick Of The Brett Favre/Ted Thompson Saga

Raise your hand if you’re sick and tired of Brett Favre’s name all over the headlines every single day.

Wow, look at all those hands!

I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I’ve grown tired of hearing nothing else except for the never-ending saga involving one of the NFL’s biggest (and oldest) stars.

Whoever would’ve thought that one player could create so many headlines? And who would’ve ever thought it would take this long to sort out Favre’s future? Not me, that’s for sure. But here we are, still wondering where the 38-year-old quarterback is going to play next year.

If I had to make a wish, I’d probably wish for this whole drawn out saga to finally end. At least I’m not the only one who feels that way. Most of the Green Bay Packers feel the same way.

I’m worn out by hearing all the news about Favre, but his former teammates are worn out by all the questions from the media. Not to mention it’s probably kind of distracting hearing hundreds of fans chant “Bring Back Brett!” while you’re trying to practice and get ready for the new season.

Is Favre going to Tampa Bay? I actually wish he would just so this whole debacle could finally come to an end!  Maybe you’re not like me, but I’m tired of waking up to the same news every day.

And what’s going to happen when the NFL season does get underway? Are people still going to be talking about Favre being back in the league? I hope not.

I was delighted to receive an e-mail from Zander yesterday, urging Bleacher creatures to shift their focus elsewhere for this week’s open-mic topic. So why am I here writing about Brett Favre?

Well first of all, I’ve already published my open-mic article, and secondly, I just want to know how many other people are tired of all the news surrounding the most popular player in the NFL, at least at the moment.

Who knows though, maybe it's wrong for me to accuse Favre for all this mess. Ted Thompson is probably just as responsible, if not more so, than anyone else for this. But the point is, the only thing I seem to be hearing in the news is mainly about Favre himself.

Anyways, I’m done raving about the whole saga and I am officially wiping my hands from it. From this point on I’ll be back to writing about what I know best. Thanks for reading…
