49ers- Steve Young

Broncos- John Elway

Dolphins- Dan Marino

Bills- Jim Kelly

The names above are noticed in Canton, Ohio in the NFL Hall of Fame

Marino's deadly arm and numerous visits to the playoffs, Young's running ability and 96.8 passer rating, Elway's two Superbowl wins, and Kelly's record-setting performances in Buffalo all seem to fit right along with the name of Brett Favre and his NFL accomplishments.

What does this mean for the Packers Orginization?

Dolphins- After losing Marino, they have started 12 QB's at that position.  The Dolphins have had below average season's since then, racking up a few playoff losses and still don't look secure at the QB position.  Not to mention their horrible 2007 performance.  It also doesn't help to have Tom Brady & Co. as one of your division rivals.

Bills- After Kelly, the Bills have done nothing, much like how they were before Kelly.  A few average seasons was all that the bills have achieved since Kelly.  Although the Bills have had good players on their team after Kelly, they were as good as gone.

Broncos-The void of Elway not being on the field of Invesco simply cannot be filled.  Brian Griese and Jake Plummer both faced heavy scrutiny while trying to replace Elway.  They have faired to be "OK" without their Hall of Fame Quarterback, mustering up a few average season's and one winning season (2005, 13-3).

49ers-Young's forced retirement definitely impacted the 49ers.  The 49ers have been able to come up with a few winning seasons, along with some not-so-good seasons since Youngs decision in 1999.  Have they been a force to be reckoned with since Youngs retirement?.  No, plain and simple.  It'll take a few more seasons for this franchise to turn around and become a top contender in the NFC.

The Packers-With news that recently surfaced, Favre and Ted Thompson will be going over some trade possibilities.  The Packers are obviously moving foward with Aaron Rodgers under center.  With that being said, the curse is now set.  Expect for the Quarterback spell that has "cursed" the 49ers, Bronco's, Bills, and Dolphins to continue with Green Bay.  Nothing against Aaron Rodgers or his abilities, but dont expect anything more than a 9-7 season from the 08 Packers.
