Report: Chengdu Blades 0-7 Chelsea
Chelsea continued their pre-season preparations in China this evening with an emphatic 7-0 victory over a poor Chengdu Blades side.
Luiz Felipe Scolari made a couple of changes from the side that beat Guangzhou Pharmaceutical 4-0 on Wednesday. John Obi Mikel dropped down to the bench with Alex replacing Carvalho at the back.
Chelsea didn't take long to break the deadlock. Nicolas Anelka ran on to Wright-Phillips' chipped pass and knocked it past the keeper before tapping the ball into an empty net.

Wright-Phillips was then involved in Chelsea's second, sending Anelka clear of the Chengdu defence, Anelka then pulled the ball back to Kalou who happily sidefooted the ball home.
Anelka then had an effort ruled out for offside, before Lampard made it 3-0 with a half-volley from a Solomon Kalou pass.
Chengdu offered very little going forward throughout the match, but captain Wang Song worried Cech just before half-time with a long range shot that went narrowly over.
At half-time Chelsea made five changes as Scolari looked to rotate things around. Ivanovic, Carvalho, Bridge, Mikel and Malouda came on, and on 53 minutes they were joined by Joe Cole, who then scored with virtually his first touch.
Ricardo Carvalho found himself in the unusual position of right winger and played the ball to Anelka, whose pass was latched onto by Cole, and the England International rounded the keeper and scored Chelsea's fourth.
Anelka was then replaced the young Argentine Franco Di Santo on the hour, who scored his second pre-season goal moments later, firing in after a comical mis-kick from a Chengdu defender.
Chengdu thought they should have had a penalty in the 72nd minute, but replays showed that Carvalho managed to get the ball and the attacker went down fairly easily.
Joe Cole scored Chelsea's sixth with a sublime backheel from a Michael Essien cross.
Chelsea's seventh was a comical affair, Florent Malouda's wild shot taking a very fortunate deflection off the head of Wright-Phillips and into the back of the net.
Di Santo really should have added an eigth with two minutes remaining, bouncing his shot wide when it seemed much easier to score.
A Malaysian-Select XI awaits in Kula Lumpur on Tuesday, before the squad fly out to Moscow for the Railways Cup.
Chelsea (4-3-3): Cech (Hilario 60), Ferreira (Ivanovic h-t), Alex (Carvalho h-t), Terry (c) (J Cole 53), A Cole (Bridge h-t); Deco, Essien, Lampard (Mikel h-t); Wright-Phillips, Anelka (Di Santo 60), Kalou (Malouda h-t).
