WWE Injuries Stacking Up Going Into Fatal 4-Way PPV
WWE is heading into their first Fatal 4 Way PPV, and it seems that some of the talent will be unable to make the show due to injuries.
It is being reported that Undertaker suffered a broken bone from his recent match with Mysterio and will be out all summer. This is bad news for WWE as they had planned to have Taker in the main event for the show.
Add Taker to an all ready growing list of injured stars. Ted Dibiase had to postpone the debut of his new stable due to an injury.
At the last WWE PPV R-Truth slapped Dibiase so hard it gave him a concussion. Let me just say that I cannot remember ever hearing of a concussion being cause by a slap, so Truth must have a powerful smack.
Batista was also injured during his "I Quit" match with John Cena. Since Batista is done for the time being, it is not really a big deal that he is injured.
There are rumors going around that John Morrison has been nursing an ankle injury backstage. It does not seem to be keeping him from performing, but if he is not careful he could find himself on the shelf.
Randy Orton is another WWE main eventer who has been in pain as of late. His shoulder was injured during an RKO performed on Edge. It is still unknown at this point if the injury will keep Randy out of the Fatal 4 Way PPV, but he is taking it easy right now so he could be healthy enough to go by then.
CM Punk is another wrestler who found himself on the wrong end of a surgical staple. After being busted open during his match with Rey Mysterio, Punk required 13 surgical staples to close a head wound, which may be another reason for his mask gimmick other than just his hair being shaved off.
Sidenote: Rey Mysterio has been involved in two of these injuries within two weeks. Maybe his knee brace is more of a hindrance than a help since that is what hurts his opponents. Last year Rey ripped Matt Hardy's head wide open during a hurricanrana with his knee brace, requiring Hardy to get several stitches.
Speaking of Hardy, its been a tough couple years for the man who will not die. Hardy was first put on the sidelines when his appendix burst and he had to have emergency surgery. Months later Hardy would again be sidelined when his abdominal wall tore, causing him a huge amount of pain. Hardy has also had several minor injuries from an arm injury to the stitches mentioned above.
Hardy is resilient though, as proven by the fact that he never stays away. The only person I can think of to come back from more major injuries is Edge.
Well that's all for now, The Dude is out.
