Just Say "I Don't.": WWE SmackDown! Preview

This was originally going to be a letter to Edge giving the history of weddings in the WWE, but I decided that if someone (hint hint) else should write that letter. So instead, I'm going to give a preview of tonight's monumental SmackDown!

Can Natalya trump Beth Phoenix's shocker?

This past Monday on RAW, another taste of anarchy arrived on the scene as Beth Phoenix did the unthinkable when she accepted the challenge of Santino Marella. Not only did she accept the challenge, she beat the loudmouth Italian and proved that RAW isn't just a man's world.

It's been thought that a rivalry between Phoenix and Natalya is on the horizon, but this display of power may have tipped the scales in Beth's direction. What will Natalya do tonight to make her case for the Best Diva in the WWE? And what will happen at the Bash when both Divas will be in the house for the pay per view?

Collision Course

Vladimir Kozlov has gone on a severe rampage since starting on SmackDown! Here's the problem: SmackDown! has several "giants" that can take down the vicious Russian. With Big Show slated to be on the show as well as SmackDown!'s newest loose cannon Umaga, who will step up to take down the possibly unbeatable Kozlov?

Speaking of collisions, don't be surprised if MVP and Kennedy are battling it out at the Bash. After last week's trash talking between the two loudmouths, it's clear that Green Bay and Miami will lock horns way before football season starts.

Shall We Dance?

It was announced on WWE.com that the WWE Tag Team Champions' week went from bad to worse. After losing to The Hardyz on ECW, Miz and Morrison found out that they will be defending the gold in a Fatal Four Way against Jesse and Festus, Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder and Finlay and Hornswoggle.

It's clear that tonight, we should see four of the participants in action if not all eight of them. Either way, after that blockbuster announcement, it's clear that the WWE is starting to listen to the Bleacher Report if they're putting up a huge match for the Tag Team titles.

Golden Dreams

After defeating Matt Hardy last week in a non-title match, it's clear that the next #1 contender for the United States Championship should be Shelton Benjamin. But tonight, Shelton may run into an old friend/nemesis of his: Carlito. After getting drafted to SmackDown! in the supplemental draft, the Master of Cool should be making an appearance (and possibly a Cabana) tonight on SmackDown!

With so many superstars looking to bring the gold back to SmackDown!, who will next to try to dethrone the Professor of Mattitude? And will either Hardy see competition this Sunday at The Great American Bash?

Love Isn't Blind...It's Retarded

And last, and certainly least, it's the wedding of the newest power couple of the WWE: Edge and Vickie Guerrero. After months of courtship, the Rated R Superstar will finally say 'I Do.' to SmackDown!'s General Manager. Among the guests who most likely won't attend will be: Batista, John Cena, CM Punk, Undertaker, Kane and Edge's opponent for Sunday Triple H.

But don't be surprised if one of them if not all of them come to ruin the blissful nuptials of the two far-crossed lovers. This marriage proves that like justice, love isn't blind...it's drunk, insane and retarded. In any event, expect Triple H to have a few words for Edge en route to the Bash.

As for Vickie, I wouldn't get too excited about this night. There are two hours in SmackDown!, and I wouldn't be surprised if something bizarre happens.

Prepare for a wild night, people! With the Bash three days away, who will step up to make noise on FNS!? Who will try to take the lead in the Top 25 rankings? And will Edge and his bride start living happily ever after tonight and Sunday?
