Miami Dolphin Shout-Out: RB Lex Hilliard is the Future

I bet you have never heard of Lex Hilliard. He is the Miami Dolphins' third string running back and has been overshadowed by Ronnie Brown's and Ricky Williams' success on the field.

He did get some playing time last year, and while it was sparse, it still showed that he is a fast and explosive runner.

Remember the game last year when the Dolphins had a third down with 15 yards to go, and Chad Henne handed the ball off to Hilliard, who ran for a first down? That play was when I realized that he is actually a good running back.

I started to pay attention to him more, and have come to the conclusion that he is definitely the future of the Miami Dolphins. Hilliard has incredible running skills and is an exceptional blocker.

He is so good that I would probably still feel confident about the Dolphins if Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams were to all of a sudden leave.
