The only way Mosley can win this fight is by KO. No one can outbox Mayweather. Plus you add the fact that all the business and politics of this fight heavily favor a Mayweather win (Pacquiao fight). For Shane to win by decision, would be like trying to win an election against George W. Bush when his brother Jeb Bush is the governor of the last determining state of the election. If Mosley does not stop Floyd it is inevitable, just like the taxes that he and the rest of us have to pay, that there will be a Mayweather decision.

Mayweather fans who watched Floyd dismantle Juan Manuel Marquez and think this fight will be more of the same are likely in for a surprise. Sugar Shane is quite possibly Money’s equal in terms of raw hand speed, and though he’s not a one-shot KO artist, he should rank right near the top as far as the hardest punchers Mayweather has ever faced. That being said, there are too many questions about Shane to pick him to hand Floyd his first loss. He’s 38, so he could get old at any time, and he’s been inactive for 16 months.Add in the fact that Mayweather is on a whole other level the way he blends his skill and athleticism and there’s too much to like on his side. Trainer Nazim Richardson will have a plan for Shane to put up a spirited fight, but Money will remain undefeated via a fairly comfortable unanimous decision.

I'm going Floyd by decision. That's your best bet. All the reports out of Big Bear are Shane isn't looking so good in sparring, while the news in Nevada is Floyd's been razor-sharp. I also believe this fight has heat to it, a personal rivalry that spans a decade and neither guy will give the other anything. At the end of the day, I see Floyd being a little too elusive and smart for Shane, are really pulling away after the first three or four rounds.

Mayweather is still too fast for Mosley to set down on with solid punches. I think Money will punch just enough to win an easy unanimous decision. Mosley is still very good but his age is finally going to tell on him.

Mayweather to win via decision, as per normal.

I’d like to say Mosley by KO, I’d like to say Mosley will be in the best condition of his life and I’d like to say Mayweather will not be able to handle Mosley’s size, power and speed. However, two guys you never bet against in boxing; Pacquiao and Mayweather. I’ve on countless occasions tried to explain why those two fighters would lose in fights and I’ve always been wrong and suffice to say I’ve learnt my lesson. Mayweather by UD.

Colin Linneweber, Boston Boxing Examiner

Mayweather by a unanimous decision victory is my prediction. So, bettors, take Mosley by first-round KO.

Mayweather will have a hard time especially in the post fight interview—you know it’s real hard to define brilliance. I admire Mosley, he’s a tough fighter. He has power in both hands. He’ll be busier but then again Mayweather isn’t just an ordinary student of the sweet science. He’s a scholar.Mayweather will simply outclass Mosley. He won’t play safe, he wants to make a statement and what way to send the message with a 10th round TKO. Mayweather in 10.

Mosley will try and he will chase, but ultimately he won’t be able to catch up with Mayweather. This will open him up for mistakes. Floyd Jr. by technical knockout in the 10th.

Really really tough to bet against Floyd under any circumstances, and this is no different. Shane is getting way too much credit for beating a paper tiger in Margarito. What he would have to do to win against Floyd is light years different from the Margarito game plan, and I just don't think he has it in him at his age.

Clayton Holloway

Mayweather by unanimous decision. It’s obviously not a stretch on predicting Mayweather by decision but I just feel his mental strengths play a huge role in this fight. He’s smart, with great ring awareness and he will set the tempo for this fight and obviously mix in his physical strengths (speed, footwork, countering and defense) will be too much for the veteran Mosley. Mosley puts up a good fight early on but Mayweather pulls away.

Tyler Curtis

Mayweather UD 12. Wins on jabbing and defense.

As much as I'd prefer the opposite, I see this as another Mayweather UD. However, don't expect Mosely to not do a bunch of damage in the process. Mayweather's jab (which is only brought out for special occasions) and combinations will overwhelm Mosely. Mosely will be looking for his big right hands, but won't switch it up enough to confuse Mayweather. Mayweather UD, but I'd like to be wrong.
On Saturday, May 1 at 9:00 p.m. (ET)/6:00 p.m. (PT), HBO Pay-Per-View presents “Mayweather vs. Mosley,” live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
