Sometimes, in a wrestler's career, a face/heel turnover can be a very good thing. Such a change might give a new breath to a stalling career. Usually, the best moves are those turning a face into a heel character.
Take Batista or CM Punk for example; both succeeded with their new attitude. Batista is now a top heel and gained a lot of respect from many of his haters. Punk is simply awesome with his Straight Edge Society and could become one of the best heel in history if the creative team doesn't screw.
But, in the last months, the WWE have failed (at different level) in their face turnover angles. Some of them were the best heel characters but for some unknown reasons, the writers have decided to turn them face. Let's see some of the worst face turnovers in the last year.
He is only the shadow of himself with his face run. He was so great as a heel; he was arrogant and generated a lot of heat. But now, the crowd only give him some limited pop. He did nothing on Raw and, hopefully, his come back to Smackdown will re-launch his career.
Mark Henry and The Great Khali
Both were already boring as heel. It's even more horrible when they are face. They just don't get it. No reaction from the crowd and from the fans on the web. Khali tries to be funny, but it turns into a big joke, more pathetic than fun. Henry...well, there's nothing to say; he has no presence in the ring and does nothing good as a face.
The Rated-R Superstar didn't need to turn face. He already has a huge fans base. He's not exactly boring as a face, but he's so much greater as The Ultimate Opportunist .
The Viper has lost his venom with his face turn. He should be a tweener if they don't want to make him the heel he's meant to be. He got enought charisma to be a great tweener just like Stone Cold was.
The Hart Dynasty
The only good face turn I can see.
