Bojan Krkic For Andrei Arshavin: A Deal Worth It For Arsenal And Wenger?

Arsenal and Russian dynamo Andrei Arshavin loves nothing more than voicing his opinions to the media. It's something the footballing world has witnessed all through the season. Arshavin says what he thinks with ease, unaware and uncaring of the result.

Recently the 28-year-old has come forward and stated it is his dream to one day don the colours of Spanish kings Barcelona. Furthermore, his agent has insisted there is no guarantee that the Russian captain will be performing for the Gunners next season.

This pandemonium could ensure the departure of the Arsenal forward to Barcelona in the upcoming summer transfer window. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could use this opportunity to attract the talented Barcelona starlet Bojan Krkic in the Arshavin offer.

Krkic, one of the best young talents in the world, is similar to Arshavin in both stature and playing style. Both possess similar abilities in the way they glide past defenders with pure pace and balance, their scintillating strikes, and the natural skill.

Wenger has expressed his desire to see the 19-year-old play for the Gunners and if Andrei is desperate to fulfil his dream of playing for the Catalonians then there is no reason to for Wenger to deny the tiny Russian that opportunity if it enables the Frenchman to have Bojan Krkic on his roster.

However, since arriving to the Emirates in 2009 Arshavin has been a persistent performer despite the odd injury. The Zenit Saint Petersburg star brings another dimension to the Arsenal attack. 

With his natural playmaking abilities, versatility, and pace the Russian can play almost anywhere in the front and midfield. Arshavin also has a stunning relationship with Arsenal captain and midfield maestro Cesc Fabregas, the pair often pull of stunning pieces of play in most games.

Although it was not Arshavin's strongest season this campaign, he still managed to impress deeply and make a positive impact with 37 appearances and 11 goals in competitions.

Despite being one of the most promising young strikers in the world and already compact with experience, Wenger may want to keep his Russian magician for another season or two, even if it means putting Andrei's ambitions on hold.
