WWE Draft 2010 Results: Smackdown Gets The Shaft
What is going on here?
Tonight's WWE draft was a one-way street, with all big name talent moving from Smackdown to Raw. It was easily the most lopsided draft and a clear indication that management intends on pushing the blue team as the B-team.
It was clear that it was going to be a bad night Smackdown early on when Ted DiBiase won a battle royal to net Raw three picks.

It got even worse when Hornswoggle defeated Dolph Ziggler to earn a fourth pick. Let us look at which brand got which superstar.
Raw
Chris Jericho
Edge
John Morrison
R-Truth
Smackdown
Big Show
Christian
Kelly Kelly
Kofi Kingston
Raw got the two men in Smackdown's main event at Wrestlemania, and two young superstars with potential to win a world title.
Smackdown got two guys nearing 40, and eye candy that can't wrestle.
This cannot benefit either brand. The main event scene in Raw is now crowded beyond belief, and Smackdown has become razor thin on talent.
Looking at the top seven superstars on both brands, a serious discrepancy is apparent.
Raw
1. John Cena
2. Randy Orton
3. Triple H
4. Batista
5. Edge
6. Chris Jericho
7. Sheamus
Smackdown
1. Jack Swagger
2. Rey Mysterio
3. CM Punk
4. Big Show
5. Christian
6. Drew McIntyre
7. Dolph Ziggler
Basically, the No. 6 guy on Raw would be the No. 1 guy on Smackdown. Raw is stacked with proven main eventers, Smackdown is stacked with midcarders and young guys.
The biggest problem with making Smackdown into the B-team, is that there is just not enough room for all of these guys on Raw.
Make no mistake about it, all seven Raw superstars listed above will be on TV every Monday. But now, there will only be time for two or three matches between midcarders and Divas.
On Friday nights, WWE faces the opposite problem. There just won't be enough star power to keep the ratings up on a week to week basis. This draft didn't shake things up. It brought things down.
Smackdown desperately needs some star power, or it will become a dead show walking.
At very least, the Dead Man should come back to claim his yard.
