Alright, kids, the object of the game is to find Mats Sundin, the former captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mats is a crafty center, who has the uncanny ability to hide from reporters, cameramen and GM's alike! He's going to be tough to find and even tougher to sign but with a little skill and determination, he'll suit up for the 2008/09 season.

Ready?  Let's begin!

Stockholm, Sweden

Bromma Kyrka - One of the most distinguished Romanesque churches in the region, celebrated for a complete scheme of wallpaintings by the late medieval artist Albertus Pictor (c. 1440 - c. 1507).

Look, in the square outside of the church! Ikea furniture and a long dead cellphone with a faded Maple Leafs emblem on it!  I would say Mats was here since the borough of Bromma is his home town.  Let's recharge the phone and see what clues we can find.

Last call - B. Gainey

Bob Gainey, the General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens hockey club!  Maybe Mats is in Montreal?  C'mon, we're on the next flight to Pierre Elliot Trudeau airport.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Schwartz's Hebrew Delicatessen - Established in 1928 by Reuben Schwartz, the deli is a Montreal landmark located on St. Laurent Boulevard, also known as The Main. Celebrities from across the world have dined in this wonderful eatery, including sports heroes like Jean Beliveau and Ken Dryden.

The smoked meat sandwiches are mouth-watering delicious and there's no way Mats could resist one.  Look, another clue! It's an unsigned contract.  Mats was definitely here but obviously isn't staying! Hey, there's a doodle of an Orca or Killer Whale.

The Vancouver Canucks symbol also has an Orca.  It's off to Vancouver!

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Stanley Park - An urban park bordering downtown Vancouver, it is the largest city-owned park in Canada and the third largest in North America. The park attracts an estimated eight million visitors every year, including locals and tourists, who come for its recreational facilities and its natural attributes.

Stanley Park!  It all makes sense now. Mats wants to win the Stanley Cup!  Does he think playing for the Canucks is the way to do that?  Look, another clue!  It's a snapshot of the Statue of Liberty.  Is he hiding out in New York?  This is a tough chase!  New York City, here we come!

New York, New York, USA

The Empire State Building - A 102-story art-deco skyscraper, located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street. Its name is derived from the nickname for the state of New York and it stood as the world's tallest building for more than forty years.

If it's a Stanley Cup he wants, the New York Rangers have about as much a chance of snagging one as the Canucks do.  I just can't seem to figure Mats out! Hold on, another clue!  The pamphlet for the Empire State Building says back in its day, the skyscraper was avant-garde in its design.  Did Mats go to Russia to join Avangard Omsk?  Looks like we got a long flight ahead of us!

Omsk, Russia

Oh no!  It wasn't Mats who went to Omsk, it was former New York Ranger Jaromir Jagr!

Mats got away!  Looks like we'll never sign Mats Sundin.
