WWE Draft Preview: Old Faces In New Places, Part Five
Leading up to the highly anticipated WWE draft Monday night, I have been highlighting moves I believe WWE creative should makeāwhether it be during or after the draft.
Part Four of the series saw the permanent split of the two junior members of The Legacy, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes. The two sons of WWE Hall of Famers were sent to separate shows to begin their singles careers.
The options are truly open, with various scenarios available no matter which of the two goes to Smackdown and which stays on Raw.

Offseason Moves for Every Team š
The more beneficial move for either may be a move to Smackdown. If Rhodes remains on Raw, he may become lost in the shuffle and slowly integrated out of the singles scene. If DiBiase stays on Raw, he may never break through the mid-card level.
With DiBiase on Friday nights, he could start his ascension to the top of the company in a feud with many different Smackdown faces.
Part Five of this series will be the only one taking a look at the future of a superstar on their current show. As you're about to see, heels from the United Kingdom may be the future of WWE programming.
Drew McIntyre drops IC belt in favor of a main event push
He's Vince McMahon's chosen champion, and it's time the journey to the top begins for Drew McIntyre.
It probably isn't a good idea for WWE to shove McIntyre down our throats as a main-eventer like Sheamus was. Despite his current feud with Triple H, I'm not sure Sheamus is legitimized as a top-tier superstar.
McIntyre's trip begins in a feud with a superstar not yet on Smackdownācheck out the final installment of this series to read all the details.
Losing the Intercontinental Title without giving a rub will be tough, but the best way would likely be a triple threat match in which McIntyre isn't actually involved in the deciding fall.Ā
After dropping the belt, McIntyre could move to a feud with one of Smackdown's established faces, likely Rey Mysterio or Edge. If WWE creative truly wants to bring heat on McIntyre, Mysterio would be the best choice.
In a feud that could be the feud of the summer on Friday nights, McIntyre would get the rub at Summerslam, propelling him to new heights throughout the fall.
Another high-profile feud would be in order, possibly with Edge or the new-to-Smackdown Kofi Kingston. If all would go to plan, McIntyre could enter a feud with whoever is world champion come October.
In a nice touch, McIntyre could win the world title at Royal Rumble. That would likely ensure a main event match at Wrestlemania, but if WWE wasn't yet ready to push McIntyre to the very top of the proverbial mountain, he could drop the gold on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
The theme throughout this series has been the establishment of new stars. McIntyre has all kinds of potential as a character the fans love to hate. He's part Randy Orton, part Chris Jericho and those men know how to get the crowd going.
The sky is the limit for McIntyre, but he can't get there without a push. The time has come for McIntyre to fulfill the decree set upon him by Vince McMahon.
