My thoughts on the Eagles 2010 schedule
Until the draft goes down tomorrow night, the Eagles schedule will be a popular topic. It’s going to be no easy road for them, and it’s not just because they may or may not be “rebuilding.”
The Eagles will open their season at home against the Green Bay Packers. For the many who compared Kevin Kolb to Aaron Rodgers, we will see a Kolb/Rodgers matchup right out of the gate. It will be a real test out of the gate for them, as the Packers have a very competitive team. From here, things get a bit easier as they go on the road to take on the Lions and the Jaguars.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There’s going to be one very popular storyline going into Week Four as Donovan McNabb will make his return to Philadelphia much earlier than many expected. The Eagles will get the chance to pick up a divisional win early here but you know McNabb will be trying to do everything in his power to prevent this. After this, the Eagles get some “middle of the pack” teams before heading into their bye week right around the middle of the season.
The way the Eagles play the remainder of their games after the bye week is going to make or break their season. They will take on the AFC Champion Colts in Week Nine and five out of their final eight games will be divisional game.
December is the hardest month of the schedule for them and will make it hard to make a playoff run if they’re on the bubble. They start the month hosting the Texans on a Thursday night and follow it with back to back divisional road games which will be seen in prime time. The final game in December will bring Brett Favre to town (you know he’s coming back).
To end the season, the Week Seventeen trend will continue as the Eagles have a matchup with the Cowboys and hopefully there’s as much at stake as their has been the past two seasons. Like two years ago, the Eagles will host the game and hopefully be able to ruin the Cowboys playoff hopes again.
For a year where there are so many questions about the team, it will be no easy task to be a playoff caliber team. I do think the Birds have the talent to playoff team, but they will really have to prove themselves. The nice thing about this season is that the Eagles get to play the majority of their harder games at home. Besides the divisional games, their matchup with the Titans appears to be the toughest road game they will have.
What are your thoughts on the Eagles schedule this year?
