WWE Monday Night Raw Review: Monday April 19th
Before I start, I want to inform everybody that if you have any interest in wrestling, you have to read Mike AKA The Professor’s brilliant article. You can find it at
Now, on to my review. I’ll try to look favourably on RAW tonight as WWE were put in an awkward position with the volcanic ash cloud over Europe. They should be back in time for the PPV on Sunday as they should be able to take a boat from the UK to Ireland and then fly to the US…

Report: Knicks Watch Party Shut Down
Segment 1) HHH/ Straight Edge Society Promos
Not the most interesting promo ever seen in WWE but not a complete disaster either. HHH pushes the PG boundaries again with his homosexual reference. I was surprised that Punk had some bit of his hair cut tonight. Under the ratings system, this segment gets 5/5 but personally, I would give it a 3.
Segment Rating: 5/5 Segment 2) Drew McIntyre vs. Matt Hardy
A typical RAW match here. Nothing special, crowd was flat but that was the participants fault as well as creative.
Segment Rating: 2/5 Segment 3) Kozlov/ MacGruber
I don’t know why WWE even bothers. Why not just show some old match footage for 10 mins instead of this sh*t. Once again, WWE writes its own rules regarding PG content. Since when are sexual insults PG? I would much rather have seen MacGruber get the sh*t knocked out of them with a chair!
Segment Rating: 0.5/5 Segment 4) Jack Swagger vs. The Undertaker
This must be the first match on RAW in the last year that lasted longer than 10mins. A good solid bout which lasted 16mins. Swagger got some great offence in and never looked weak while UT never lost any credibility.
Segment Rating: 5/5 Segment 5) Mac Gruber & Khali vs. Kozlov
Not going to waste my time here.
Segment Rating : 0/5 Segment 6) 6-Man Tag Match
Not a bad main event but it came in a strong second to UT vs. Swagger. Still, one of the better main events on RAW in recent memory.
Segment Rating: 4/5 Final Thoughts: This RAW was actually better than last weeks from a purely wrestling stand point. Two good solid matches. However, ridiculous comedy sketches reared their ugly heads once more. It will be interesting to see what kind of rating RAW pulls this week. Roll on next weeks draft….. Final Rating : 3/5
