Controversy Creates Cash: TNA Picks Up Where WCW Left Off?
According to Eric Bischoff, "controversy creates cash" and I've been reading about how he used to run things back in WCW.
When first creating the infamous "Monday Nitro," Bischoff said that they had three options to be better than, less than, or different than their competition (WWF).
He chose to be different.

Now that Bischoff and Hogan are running TNA, it seems that he is applying the same tactics he did in WCW but not as much as he really should.
Before hand TNA was completely different than WWE. The ring was different they had the X division showcased, and their women could actually wrestle.
You would think that Bischoff and Hogan would be able to see that, but instead they change the ring, get rid of half the knockouts, and hardly focus on the X division.
Bischoff was the one who created the whole cruiserweight division in WCW so you would think he would love the X division.
With his whole "controversy creates cash" attitude you always hear him mentioning the competition, making fun of them mostly. Something that he was always told is a big no no in the business, but he never listened.
You would think that after everything that happened in WCW that Bischoff and Hogan would have learned their lesson, and know what it takes to take TNA to that next level.
Some would say that he only got WCW to where they were because of Ted Turners pocket book which isn't entirely true.
You can have all the money in the world, but if you don't have the ideas and strategy to go with it, then its almost useless.
Bischoff is seeming to make some of the same mistakes in TNA that he did in WCW.
Bischoff put himself on camera almost all the time in WCW same thing in TNA.
As I mentioned earlier he keeps mentioning the competition giving them free publicity
And he is bringing in wrestlers that will just make the company worse cough Hall and Waltman cough cough.
We are seeing allot of similarities between TNA and WCW except they need to focus on more what makes them different from WWE, their X division.
Some of the most talented individuals in the company and they aren’t being used anywhere near their full potential.
As I mentioned earlier Bischoff believes controversy creates cash so if that’s the case then how come TNA isn't beating WWE in the ratings?
How come the whole Orlando Jordan character which is extremely controversial is being ridiculed and very far from getting over like a character which had a similar gimmick by the name of "Goldust"?
Probably because Spike TV is a men’s network that has stuff men want to see such as hot chicks blood and violence.
Men don't want to see some bi-sexual dude squirt lotion all over himself.
So if Bischoff and Hogan want to take TNA to that next level then they need to it completely different from WWE.
Bischoff needs to come up with something that will make an impact like when he created the NWO.
He tried to recreate it excluding Hogan but I say you can't make history with the same thing twice.
I'm not saying, I'm just saying!
What do you think though? Do you see TNA making some of the same mistakes as WCW?
