Wrestlemania 23 The Pinnacle Of The Ruthless Agression Era

Before wrestlemania 26 people said the card could be the first great card in years, that it could rival wrestlemania 17 but then it hit me, wrestlemania 23 was easily as good as 17 but will never get the credit it deserves beacuse it did not take place in the almighty attitude era.  The MITB match at 23 rivaled the TLC match at 17. I would go as far as saying MITB at 23 was the best pure ladder match ever. The united states title match was fantastic at wrestlemania 23 and really put mvp on the map it was one hell of an under 10 minute match and was better than y2j vs regal and guerrero vs test. wrestlemania 23 had a really good hair vs hair match that was just a hair away from being great (no pun intended) definitely better than the gimmick battle royal. both had trash divas matches and the ecw old vs the ecw new, i for one found to be very entertaining although i would have preferred the match to be held under extreme rules.

  The Main events at 23 blew the roof off of ford field. Undertaker vs Batista for the world heavy weight title was amazing and really gave batista a lot of credibility for a little bit until his feud with taker was over and then the iwc decided he was yet again total garbage and had never wrestled a good match in his career. 

John Cena vs HBK was the match of the night and was one of the few matches i was actually sad after. another match that gave john cena credibility, unfortunately the iwc found it to be quite easy to forget the match and say that like batista john cena had never wrestled a good match in his career and still hasn't. It's really sad that the iwc hates cena so much that they would have the memory of this matched destroyed if it meant that john cena wouldn't have a good wrestlemania match to his name.

The purpose of this article was to respond to all the comments i have read on articles about wrestlemania saying that wrestlemania 17 was the last great wrestlemania when wrestlemania 23 which to me is the pinnacle of the cena era the way 17 was for the austin era and should get the same respect after all it was definitely as good a wrestlemania as there has ever been.
