Monday Night Smackdown

This isnt breaking news and im sure most of you have already heard that the wwe superstars are stuck overseas due to the Iceland Volcanic ash-cloud that has grounded planes in Europe in case it damages the engines. Smackdown stars have been to make it home after a grueling 56 hour straight trip. Raw superstars on the other hand have not been so lucky and are currently still stuck in the United Kingdom.

This is what the pwinsider had to say about the situation: The latest on flights being able to leave the UK, which of course will have an effect on tomorrow's Raw, is now 7 a.m. local time tomorrow and officials feel it probably won't be lifted then. Some experts are saying that it will be at least mid-week before flights resume.

WWE may have to start looking into alternate means to get the Raw wrestlers to a city south of the UK where flights aren't affected in order to get the wrestlers back to the US in time for the Extreme Rules PPV next Sunday.

Wrestleing Radio had this to say:The UK and Irish airspace restrictions have been extended again. The earliest Irish airspace can reopen is 1PM and UK airspace 1AM on Monday. It should be noted since the Icelandic volcano the airspace restrictions have constantly been changing and even IF airspace opens there is going to be several days of backlog to clear. It is being reported there are up to 1 million Brits stuck abroad let alone those who want to get out of the country. RAW will probably feature many Smackdown stars tomorrow night with live/recorded promos from the RAW superstars in the UK.

So it is thought that the Raw superstars will not make it home in time to shoot 
Monday night raw and that the Raw stars that did not tour along with smackdown talent will run Raw tomorrow. It is looking increasingly more likely that the Raw crew will not make it back to the United States for tomorrow night's TV tapings from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The flight ban has been extended yet again and could go into Tuesday and even Wednesday. Unless WWE is able to get the crew into southern Europe, they are not going to make it back in time. If they are unable, WWE will book Smackdown talent for the show.
