Manchester United Back To Title Race, Spurs Offer Chelsea Rude Awakening

The current league table scenario speaks something like this: 

Chelsea played 35 matches and has 77 points in their bag, Manchester united has 76 points after they have played 35 matches.

While Manchester United is back in the title race breathing on the Blues' neck, we saw a brilliant Spurs upsetting the Chelsea team 2-1 in their home. Did Chelsea look like league leaders??? Or Boastful balloons???

Coming to the United-City match, United once again proved that why they are the best still, why their rivals cannot dream so big to defeat them!!! The Super rich Man City was lost in a fog in their home while Paul Scholes' late header snatched the three points for United. Nerves, perhaps Man City still needs a season to get that thing. 

The loss to United took man city back from the fourth place contention and gave United a golden chance to win their fourth consecutive title.

But that is just a half of the story. 

Chelsea would have confirmed their silverware this season if they could have snatched a three points victory in their match against Tottenham Hotspur. However, Spurs put up an excellent performance and snatched a 2-1 win against Chelsea. 

The performance of the wing back Bale from Spurs was scintillating one while Chelsea's defense struggled in front of the counter attacks of Redknapp's team. Terry's hand ball and the penalty was controversial but the superb finish of Bale deserved a standing ovation.

John Terry was later sent off and Chelsea's hopes were further buried in the ground. The Spurs goalie Gomes added to the misery of the blues as he made some wonderful saves and played his part.

While we focus on the three coming matches that will decide the fate of the silverware, Manchester United still has a chance of winning the EPL. 

United will play against Spurs and Stoke City in their home and has an away match with West Ham United. While the two home matches are in favor of the Red Devils, the away match against West Ham will just be a training exercise for United. So, United must win against Spurs next week to keep their dreams alive.

My Predictions:

Man United vs Spurs : 2-1

West Ham vs Man United: 0-2

Man United vs Stoke City: 1-0

Chelsea has got its share of rude awakening from Spurs and the only match that will decide its fate will be possibly the Liverpool-Chelsea match. The Liverpool team has been weaker this season but they will fight for their glory specially when at home, so the fixture may not be an easy one for the Blues. The back to form prolific Torres and the resistant Reds defense will create a problem for Ancelotti and Co.

My Predictions:

Chelsea vs Stoke City: 3-0

Liverpool vs Chelsea: 2-1

Chelsea vs Wigan: 2-0

Chelsea must be away from the shadows of complacency or they will lose another great chance to the Silverware.

Rooney's hunt for the highest scorer award and the in-form Drogba's sudden out-of-form performance may prove detrimental for Chelsea. While the predictions may be wrong or right, the results may be different, but the probability of chances enlightens the mark of another glory for United, as they are drawing near and nearer to the Silverware.
