In What Areas Should Arsenal Strengthen This Summer?

Arsene Wenger side has made tremendous progress from last year this is there for everyone to see but this Arsenal side still lacks 2-3 players first team players who can turn winning the EPL title from a dream to reality and this article will focus on area where Arsenal needs to Strengthen

• Goalkeepers - No suprise here! We have probably the best young keepers in Wojciech Szczęsny,Vito Mannone and yes Lukaz Fabianski (I know what you're thinking but keep reading) but a very average keeper in Manuel Almunia. Manuel Almunia for me is probably the most inconsistent keeper in the premiere league he can go from looking like the best keeper on the planet (Barca game) to a keeper who doesnt deserve to play for a league one side(rest of the season) .Lukaz Fabianski on the other hand for me is a keeper with enormous talent and I can say this because I have seen him play week in and week out in Poland where he was awarded the best goal keeper award for two years running. You can't keep a keeper on the bench for the entire season and then give him sporadic starts in a FA cup or a Carling cup, he needs to play week in and week out to really prove his worth and he can only do that if he's send on Loan. WE do need a goalkeeper but an experienced goalkeeper who can take over from Almunia and provide us from the years of experience he has in the top flight and Sebastein Frey is the perfect choice for me. If wenger buys Sebastein Frey then Almunia become second choice keeper and we can send Fabianski, Szczensy and Mannone all out on Loan to get valuable experience and also prove their worth . Since most people wont know this Wenger signed an Argentinian keeper named Damián Martínez about two years ago who turns 18 this summer and will move to Arsenal so he can be out third choice and cover for Frey and Almunia.

• Centre Backs - A lot of what we do in the summer depends on Gallas and does he renew his contract or not. If he does then we will have Gallas, Vermaelen and Djourou as our recognised CB's and hopefully Campbell as well for another year on pay as you play basis.This still leaves us one CB short and this for me should be filled by a CB like Gary Cahill someone who can go toe to toe with the like of Drogba or Rooney and come out on top if you put Gallas and Vermaelen together they will never come out on top against these kinds of striker and we have seen this happen again and again this season but put Cahill and Vermaelen or Gallas and Cahill and you have a perfect combination of height, pace, intelligence and strength. I know some people might be thinking Hangeland will be a better fit but we play a very high line and Hangeland is one of the slowest CB's in the premiere league so buying him would be a mistake in my view.

• A Holding Midfielder - If we do keep our 4-3-3 formation then we  do need someone to play beside Song and Fabregas in our three man midfield. We need a player who can help out Song in defense and provide support to Fabregas in Attack. Wenger had hoped for either Diaby or Denilson to make this position their own this season but none of the players have grabbed it with both hands. Diaby did look like he was winning the race at the start of the season but has faded out at the end of the season and Denilson has never really got going. If we do want to compete with Barca in the midfield area then we need to add someone like Felipe Melo into our midfield. Feliepe Melo has had a terrible season by his standards and Juve will surely be looking to offload him in the summer at cut down price and Wenger is known to help players resurrect their careers and Melo might just be his next project. We know Wenger tried to sign Melo in the summer but couldn't agree on the transfer fees with Florentina, this season might see Wenger renew his interest in Melo and will probably get him cheaper than he would have last year.

Our Attack with addition of Chamak is probably one area that we don't have to worry about although with so many striker wenger might move to a 4-4-2 Diamond or he might play either Chamak or Bendtner on the right and Van Persie upfront.

This lineup for me is a world beater but I will be glad to hear what other people think and how we can improve upon this.
