Is Randy Orton The Right Person To Elevate Jack Swagger?

As I was watching my weekly dose of Friday Night Smackdown. WWE showed the Extreme Rules match card and it featured Randy Orton against the World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger. After it was shown was Smackdown's main event, it was Edge vs Chris Jericho vs the Champion Jack Swagger. It was the best main event i have seen on Smackdown for a while. More importantly Jack Swagger won via a clean pinfall victory, although after Chris Jericho was speared by Edge.

Now a few months ago the WWE treated us to the rivarly of Randy Orton against Kofi Kingston. It was a great fued with great matches and spots; Kofi Kingston's Boom drop at Madison Square Gardens. Although the fued died down and what seemed to be a massive halt to Kofi's was caused by the Viper Randy Orton. It is also thought to be that the stop of the push was due to Randy Orton complaining about Kofi's botched moves against him.

Now Rewind your memory to Mr Kennedy, He was on a sky high push until and was involved in the main event on the 25 May 2009 which was a Ten Man Tag Team match. this Match invovled the Legend Killer that is Randy Orton. During the match Mr Kennedy (AKA MR Anderson) performed a back suplex on Orton and Randy Orton deemed it as too dangerous as the way it was performed could have been injured him. Four days after the match; Mr Kennedy Was released from his WWE contract.

Now Back to Jack Swagger. He is set to face the former Heel of the company, Randy Orton. This could be a set up for what can be a fued for Smackdown as it is highly likely Randy Orton may be drafted there. So If he is drafted there, it is quite likely a fued between the two will spark off. If Jack Swagger does do something wrong, lets hope Jim Ross influence on him can be high enough to compete with Randy Orton.

So if WWE do go with the fued between Jack Swagger and Randy Orton could we be seeing lighting strike for a third time? As much as I like Randy Orton is this the smart thing to do?
