Bring It On! Dodgers Vs Giants!

Hide your women and children because the feud resumes tonight.  The battle between good and evil is renewed tonight at Chavez Ravine.  Like the heroes at the little mission in Texas defended themselves against the Mexican forces of General Santa Ana, the Dodgers will be defending thier National League West Championship against the upstart Giants.

The Giants have won three series to start the year and are feeling like a serious contender for the Dodgers crown but reality will set in this weekend when they realize that the Los Angeles team is not the Pirates, Astros or Braves.  Giant fans, here in Northern California where I reside, are already whooping, hollering and planning their victory parties.

You would think that after more than fifty years of the frustrating truth slapping them in their collective faces Giant fans would begin to see the light. It is tragic really to get your hopes up time after time just to have them ripped from underneath you and leaving you in dispair once again.

Now don't get me wrong. I realize that the Giants have the best starting pitching in all of baseball and that pitching wins pennants.  If there lineup wasn't so woeful I might be sucked into the same euphoria that is circulating throughout the Giant's faithful.

Rest easy Dodger faithful. By Sunday evening the truth will again be yours and the gathering hoard led by General Bochy will be vanquished yet again.
