In the course of a UFC show I often find myself muttering about what an idiot Joe Rogan is. I don't know if it's just me, but sometimes I just can't stand him. So recently I tried to figure out why the UFC has stuck by him.
The first thing I was surprised to find about Joe Rogan was that he actually has an MMA background. He holds a brown belt in BJJ under Machado and Eddie Bravo. That's nothing to be spat at.
Also he is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Sure, Tae Kwon Do isn't really common in MMA, but it shows some knowledge of striking on his part. He actually participated successfully in many competitions. However, this does not take away from the boneheaded things he does.
One quote, in particular, that I found myself dumbfounded by was this one, "Marvin Eastman's cut looked like a goat's vagina!". WHAT?! This is merely one example of a dumb quote among many.
Joe also seems to have problems with his sexuality displayed in these next two quotes:
"Karo Parysian has the best buttocks in judo," and "If Tyson Griffin were a girl you'd say he has a badonkadonk."
Finally, as BJ Penn made his way to the ring to fight, Joe inexplicably uttered the phrase, " This is the best BJ we've ever seen!".
These quotes are often coupled with the nervous giggling of Mike Goldberg. and the deafening sighs of appalled MMA fans.
Finally, Joe has even escalated to using physical bonehead moves. He once challenged Wesley Snipes to a fight. I don't care how many belts Joe has, Wesley Snipes is a big bad dude!
Joe is just really dumb sometimes. Maybe that's why Dana keeps him around. Not only do you not know what he is going to say next, but he makes you feel smart and who doesn't like a nice boost of self-esteem?

I liked the humor in your article, and I am frequently romped on by people who don't relate well to my efforts at usung satire. Joe Rogan is a trip, and it is hard to tell when he is on weed or not. Since he has a doctor's perscription for MJ, he may be supplying Dana with some killer weed too, you never know.

I don't know about good info, more look useless tidbits about Rogan and Pot;) But those are two of my favorite things. Rogan and Bravo are in a group of people who like "Rolling Stoned".

He is much funnier on the broadcast then on stage. Although he is hell on a heckler. I personally think that the Rogan Goldberg combo works and its even better when Randy was there third person. And Rogan really knows his stuff

Actually Dorothy Joe is well known for stopping a show and destroying the person trying to heckle him. I'm sure you can find the clips on youtube. The one with the guy in the affliction shirt is really funny.

Joe Rogan is a comedian. These comments are his attempts to make people laugh. Some people think he's funny and just kidding when he makes these silly statements. Some people like you think he's a homosexual and are uncomfortable by these statements. Joe Rogan is not gay. The guy gets tons of poon. Chill out Kevin. You're just a homophobe.

How could you even think Wesley Snipes could stand a chance against any b.j.j. brown belt? Rogan would destroy him. Sounds like someone else has a problem with their sexuality. Can you not even joke about things without being gay?
