2010 SMCAA TOURNAMENT – SOUTHEAST REGION – SECOND ROUND

        #1 Duke 91, #33 Liberty 53

    Duke torched Liberty with a 51 point second half to run away with the game, 91-53, in a SMCAA Southeast 2nd round blowout.  The Blue Devils only led by six at the break, 40-34, but then went on a 42-10 run in the second half to put the game out of reach.  Jon Scheyer led the Blue Devils with 28 points on the night, including 5 three pointers.  Nolan Smith (20 points) and Miles Plumlee (11 points) were also in double figures for Duke, who ended up shooting 51% on the night.
    The Flames got 12 points from Evan Gordon, but he was the only player to score more than 10 points on the night, as Liberty managed to shoot just 36% for the game.

        #17 College Of Charleston 73, #16 Washington State 60

    College Of Charleston shot 57% on the night and rode their hot shooting to a 73-60 win over Washington State in a 2nd round Southeast game.  Andrew Goudelock led the way for the Cougars with 18 points on 8 of 11 shooting.  Donovan Monroe added 17 points on 7 of 12 shooting on the night, while Tony White Jr. chipped in 12 points, including 3 three pointers.  C of C also shot well from beyond the arc, making 8 of 14 in the contest.
    Washington State was led by Reggie Moore and his 16 points. DeAngelo Casto and Nikola Koprivica each added 11 points for WSU, but as a team they could only 36% from the field and just 38% from 3 point range (6-16).

        SOUTHEAST REGION 3RD ROUND: #17 College of Charleston vs. #1 Duke

        #9 Texas Tech 67, #24 Lipscomb 56

    Texas Tech closed the game on a 10-2 run to wipe out a halftime deficit and come back and defeat Lipscomb 67-56 in a Southeast 2nd round contest.  The Red Raiders, who trailed 35-29 at the half and led only 57-54 with 4:40 remaining got 16 points and 4 assists from John Roberson in the victory, while Darko Cohadarevic added 14 points and Mike Singletary chipped in 11 points.
    The Bison got 14 points and 16 rebounds from Adnan Hodzic, 11 points and 4 assists from Johnny Lee, and 10 points in the loss.

        #8 Wichita State 61, #25 Bowling Green 47

    Wichita State rolled to a 20 point halftime cushion and went on to cruise to a 61-47 win over Bowling Green in a 2nd round Southeast game.  The Shockers, who led 38-18 at the break, got 12 points from Graham Hatch.  Garrett Stutz added 11 points off the bench for WSU in the victory.
    The Falcons got 11 points from Joe Jakubowski, but he was the only bowling Green player to reach double figures on the night.  BGSU had a rough game shooting the ball, making just 38% of their shots, including just 2 of 11 from three point range.
