In all fairness, last night's game was atrocious by the Gunners and a loss was deserved. I saw little urgency, drive, or Wengerball from the boys and a defeat was the result. Now onto the real meaning for this article...
Every season we seem to be defeated not only by our opponents but by injuries. Wenger knows this, we all know this so why doesn't Arsene bring in adequate replacements/subs so the team doesn't suffer when someone departs from injury!?(Which he knows WILL HAPPEN!)
However, in all fairness who would have...who could have predicted the amount and timing of the injuries this season? Our main and prolific goal-scorer right at the beginning of the season. Our cog, Cesc Fabregas, in the middle of the season and end, as well as our world-class center back's season ending with four weeks to go. Oh and don't worry, I didnt' forget our IDIOT keeper-who I wish went down with an injury. (Man that guy has to go, he makes a mistake every game and its cost us. I don't know how many points but if someone could find the games he's messed up and caused us to lose I'm betting it would be anywhere from seven to 12 pts.)
Anyway, I just had to get off my chest how another team in the top four would have done without their main striker, CM, and CB for the amount of time we did:
*Not going to add Liverpool because hehe... that's just too funny*
If Chelsea or Manchester went without their main players as we did for so long, we would easily have won the league. I'm not trying to boost Arsenal and I'm not saying this just because I'm an Arsenal supporter but because it's the truth. We've done AMAZINGLY well with the amount of injury and poor decisions against us this season. We must do four things: Stay fit, get a new f**king keeper, get rid of two players (Silvestre/Denilson or Diaby-both prove to be liabilities when no up for it), and acquire two to four players (striker, keeper, and CDM/CB, winger).
In all fairness this season would and could have been ours if injuries hadn't killed us off. So Wenger must plan for this and spend the money to get us a title. It won't kill his transfer policy or beliefs but it will strengthen our squad and our belief in this team winning us some trophies. So in ending this...in all fairness...silverware is not far from our grasp. Surely you can all agree this is a fair statement.
