Why the WWE's Christian Deserves a World Title Shot

The WWE decided to shutdown ECW and bring in their new competition show NXT a few months back.

As soon as I heard this I was excited for one reason: Christian would be moving to another brand.  I liked Christian as the ECW champion, but he deserves a bigger stage.

Now it seems as if WWE is just ignoring Christian on Raw and he is continually popping up on NXT.  While Christian has all the skills and credentials to help develop the talent of the NXT rookies, he should be featured more on Monday nights.

Christian is one half of one of WWE's most popular tag teams of the last 20 years, Edge and Christian.  Since their break up Edge has gone on to win about 100 world titles while Christian fell by the wayside to TNA.

Yes, I know Christian was a two time NWA champion, but lets face it, he deserves a better world title.

My prediction has always been that an Edge vs. Christian feud over a world title would be coming, but it never has, and I'm left wondering, did Christian leave TNA at the wrong time?

The fact that WWE has not yet jumped on the history Christian has with so many great superstars to turn out good story lines is still a mystery to me. 

His skills in the ring and on the mic are better than most, but because he's relegated to the WWE's Tuesday night shows we have not seen him at his peak potential.  His match with Chris Jericho a few months back on ECW was quite possibly the best match ECW has had since coming under WWE ownership.

His record in the WWE, while impressive, is missing a World Title victory and he needs one soon; otherwise he could end up one of those guys who never reached his true potential like so many others in the past.
