Adeiny Hechavarria Signs with Toronto Blue Jays
The Toronto Blue Jays announced yesterday that they have signed 20-year-old Cuban shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria to a four-year, $10 million contract.
The breakdown of the contract is as follows:

The deal also includes a $4 million signing bonus. The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim were also interested in signing Hechavarria.
Hechavarria is most compared to Alfonso Soriano. As much as I am not a fan of Soriano, I think the Blue Jays will definitely take that.
With Ricky Romero (absolutely awesome last night against the Chicago White Sox), Aaron Hill, Adam Lind, Travis Snider, Brett Wallace, Kyle Drabek, and now Hechavarria in the fold, the Blue Jays are looking to build a team that could seriously compete in 2013.
