Barcelona vs Deportivo

After a win in el classico which put Barca ahead of rivals Real Madrid in the race for the title they cannot afford to slip up and loose their lead now.

Deportivo shouldn’t prove to much of a challenge for Barcelona at home. The Catalans have the best home record in the league and have only dropped two points at home all season.

Deportivo on the other hand have lost four of their last five matches which certainly doesn’t bode well for the away side.

Almeria vs Real Madrid

Pellegrini is now under fire in the Spanish media after his side lost El Classico. The 2-0 defeat to Barcelona could cost Real Madrid the championship and numerous high profile managers are linked with Real Madrid’s back room.

Almeria shouldn’t be any real threat to Real Madrid, but a loss here would certainly spell the end of Pellegrini’s stint at Real Madrid, be it at the end of the season or earlier. Almeria are still trying to avoid relegation and have been on pretty poor form recently. Los Blancos should have no trouble winning this match.

Valencia vs Bilbao

Atletico will be hoping to add to Valencia’s poor form and continue their European hopes this season. The home side have lost their last two matches and have seen their cushion of points drop to five.

Adding to Valencia’s problems Fernandes will miss the match due to suspension, while Navvaro, Maduro, Miguel, Dealbert and Mathieu could also miss the match. This match doesn’t look favourable for the home side simply due to Valencia’s selections concerns and poor form recently.
