EPL Previews: Midweek Matches, April 14, 2010
Ledley King is likely to return to the Tottenham side for their match with Arsenal, although Tottenham do have another new absentee: Palacios begins his two-match suspension.
Arsenal will see the return of Van Persie, although Song has not quite recovered. Arsenal have been on fantastic form domestically lately and overall they look like the much better side in this match up.

Although Tottenham’s home form has been very good, Arsenal seem to have the upper hand.
Aston Villa vs Everton
Reo-Coker looks likely to return to the squad this week after a 14-week absence and Dunne and Miller look likely to start despite ongoing injury concerns.
Everton will be without their instrumental playmaker Mikel Arteta and his absence usually leaves the Toffees missing any real spark. Everton are however unbeaten in their last six matches and have been on very good form in the last few months, both at home and on the road.
On the other hand, Villa have not been particularly threatening lately and have only won one of their last seven home matches. It seems very likely that a draw is on the cards.
Wigan vs Portsmouth
Wigan will again be without Caldwell who is serving the second match in his three match ban, but they should see the return of Boyce and potentially Thomas, who faced a late fitness test. Pompey aren’t looking in great shape and they are going to miss several players who were in Sunday’s FA cup winning side.
Although Portsmouth have looked pretty good in the FA Cup, their league performance is still nothing of awful. They have not even scored in their last three league games and if these performances are anything to go by it should be an easy victory for Wigan.
