New Jersey Devils Ready To Fly Past the Flyers: Enough Fuel in the Tank?
Goaltending is the most important part of a team’s playoff success and over the last couple decades, Martin Brodeur has been the best guy between the pipes bar none.
Brodeur has a career .920 save percentage and 1.98 goals against average in the playoffs in 176 games with the Devils, including 23 shutouts.
He owns a ton of hardware including four Vezina trophies, three Stanley Cup rings and has appeared in multiple All-Star games.

New NHL Mock Draft 📝
When looking around the NHL and choosing a goalie who has it all, Brodeur’s name is on the top of most writers, coaches and fans list.
When it comes to the Flyers, Brodeur has had his problems and is only 11-9 in his last 20 starts against them.
While Team Canada won the Olympic Gold in Vancouver, it wasn’t the familiar number 30 Devils goalie in net when the final buzzer sounded, as he was put on the bench after a couple shaky outings.
A perennial 70 plus game starter, he played in 77 regular season games and in the aforementioned Olympics.
This 37 year-old goalie has been a work horse for the Devils and everyone has to be wondering how much he has left in the tank?
How deep New Jersey goes in these 2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs may rest squarely on the shoulders of this capable veteran.
But, with the additions and subtractions made throughout the year by CEO, president and general manager Lou Lamoriello, Martin Brodeur may have as solid of a defense core and more scoring support up front, significantly, than in recent years.
How this plays out is why we watch the games!
