THANK YOU SHAWN MICHAELS!!
I know it's been like 3 weeks since HBK retired and now i am writing this article for shawn michaels retirement. The reason why i am so late in writing it is i have never got the chance to be alone while writing it and that is the way i like to write my articles when i am on my own, i especially need to be on my own for this article because it is a very emotional one, it is the end of one of the greatest wrestlers ever. (i rate HBK 4th best ever behind kenta kobashi who i think is 3rd, kurt angle who i think is 2nd and bret hart who is no.1, oh and chris benoit as 5th best)
I hated shawn at first because of what he did to bret hart (i am a huge bret fan) and because of what i new he was like behind the scenes, but i always grudgingly new that this guy was an unbelievable wrestler. When i saw The heartbreak and triumph dvd i respected him alot for his change and the great person he has become,Ā still hated what he did to bret and all related issues he had with bret i hated him in those circumstances but away from that i loved him.

Offseason Moves for Every Team š
I get very sad talking about this soĀ i'll try not toĀ go on long.
He was everything he said he was the main event, the showstopper, Mr.wrestlemania and the names go on. His match with kurt angle at WM 21 is my faviroute match of all time, my faviroute wrestler being kurt angleĀ made meĀ extra excited about this match and it broke all my expectations. His match with john cena at WM 23 was just great, my brother doesn't watch wrestling much but he had faviroutes and shawn was right at the top of the list and my brother watched some of his ppv matches but always watched his WM matches. That match with cena he got so emotinally involved, he jumped when shawn hit the sweet chin music and got sad when shawn tapped because he wanted to see shawn as champ at least one more time.
My brother always picks on me about this because i said shawn and flair would not steal the show at WM 24 but they will just have a good match, i said maybe taker v edge will steal the show. WHAT happened shawn stole the show with a 57 year old flair who was not having any good matches before, this was just extrodinary and it blows my mind with what he did at wm 24.
Then came WM 25, HBK vs the undertaker watching this will probably rank as one of my greatest memories ever of watching wrestling. My brother and i were expecting a great match but not for one moment were we expecting the match we got. My brother and i, my cousin who doesn't watch wrestling much either, we were sat there for 30mins gob smacked with what we were seeing, i can't count the amount of times we jumped up in that match or the amount of times we went oh! the one thing in that match that left us all amazed and utterly shocked was when shawn kicked out of the tombstone. Why was this so amazing because undertaker hit the tombstone and stuck his tounge out of his mouth which always ment the end and when shawn kicked out we were just like oh my god!! i can't describe how stunned we were. My uncle said his reaction to that was exactly the same as the undertakers which always makes me laugh. In the end i have to say that was my second faviroute match ever.
Then came his build up with undertaker for WM 26, which was a fantastic build up and i had read a article a few months before WM 26 that both shawn and taker were taking a 4 month break again and i thought that's fine they should have it.
THEN came the stipulation if shawn loses his career is over and this really made me and my brother think who was going to win. I finally came to the conclusion taker was going to win but shawn was not going to retire just take 4 months off after WM 26. Then came the match is was an absoloutley outstanding match my third or 4thĀ faviroute match can't decide were to put it yet, the match was very much up to the same level as there WM 25 one but it was more emotional becuase when shawn kicked out of the tombstone this time it was not shocking there was just a sense of anticipation to who was actually going to win.
When taker told shawn to stay down i was thinking the same thing because when shawn slapped taker i was thinking oh no and then it hapened shawns 25 year career was ended. Me and my brother sat there incredibly sad and once the ppv had completly finished we just sat there for about 1min and were silent. We watched his farwell speech and inside i blubbered like a baby and what was worse is the fact they kept showing it till the next weeks raw and everytime i saw it insideĀ iĀ blubbered like a baby.
I remember after i had watched WM 26 i went out to my back garden in front of the sunny sky and sat in a chair for about 10min and thought to myself
"the sky is sunny for me but for shawn it's the sunniest time of his life now because he finally is home with his family."
I also thought: "someday he will be back in that ring"
Shawn said after WM 25 he was going to retire after WM 26 that unfortunatly happened but also he said when his kids don't need him as much he could come back and wrestle through his fifties, so thats why i thought to myself someday he will be back in that ring and if ricky steamboat did what he did at 56 years old i believe shawn could do even better.
SO HBK HAS FINALLY RETIRED BUT LEFT US THE MOST AMAZING OF MEMORIES. HE TRULY WAS THE SHOWSTOPPER, THE MAINEVENT, THE ICON AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MR.WRESTLEMAINIA.
SO IN THE END ALL I CAN SAY IS:
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā THANK YOU SHAWN!!
Who knows soon he mightĀ be back.
